Another question. What's the policy of characters maybe possibly knowing canon characters? I know this all takes place post-Sing, so the Dangercrew are dead as dirt. But as far as past relationships go?
[[Totally not asking because I ship Delta/Party P (note: I don't consider Party Poison as Gerard, but his own character) from years before (that mysterious year 2016 in D's history, when he was so cute and 28.) But I do. It does kind of affect the things D might know in OLOS. ]]

Looking forward to getting you back, Cola!
And Delta - we don't mind too much as long as the person in question a.) doesn't make a huge deal about it while in character b.) doesn't use it to set their character above others and c.) doesn't plan storylines that revolve around it. For instance, we had one newbie a long time ago whose character kept crying over a photo of Party Poison, and another who said she was Korse's daughter. As long as you keep it minor and low-key, it should be fine.

Cola/Batt/whatever they call you, I have seen you around the site, and (I think), at least one of your other characters. *squees about people reading my thread*
Delta, see Arson's post. It's fine to, like, mention it once in a while; for instance, Blackout was trained to fight by the Fab Four and has mentioned it maybe twice or thrice. However, she doesn't lord it over people with less illustrious trainers. Like if Delta had been trained by Korse, he could mention it, but not laugh at the other members of BLI because they had others. I just pretty much resaid what Arson said. ...shipping...I did not read the part about shipping at first. Don't lord it over those without partners, which is most; those without famous ones are, well...all, unless you count infamy.

I'm more excited bout Trite and Gash than Cola herself. Vol, I've been meaning to tell you. Your avatar is kick ass. on this note I think my input here is done. I shall keep tabs on this thread though, so Vol. *salutes* (teehee) keep at it!

Oooooooh, that kid. I know of him as well. I read so many old threads. So many.
I didn't draw my avatar; that was a former member of the site and a friend of mine. My work is decidedly less quality. *salutes back* I'll get material up whenever I think it's needed.

Oh no. He barely mentions it because well the SCANDAL.
Nor does he think it makes him any better because people are people. If he thinks he's better than anybody it's probably because he's a fucking Exterminator.

All of your points are good ones. Arson gets final say, as she does with everything, but if she gives the word, go ahead. :3

That is now in my signature so that, hopefully, everyone will do grammar self-checks. I know that won't happen, but a girl can dream. IGNORE THE POLL ABOVE, PLEASE. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO MAKE THEM WORK.

UNIT REVIEW How to Make Me Want to Read What You Write Instead of Skipping Over It in Favor of My Precal Homework and Skyrim 1. Good grammar and spelling! At least, try as hard as you can. It's fine if you don't know what an appositive is or how to spell onomatopoeia, but please, capitalize your Is, proper names, and the beginning of your sentences. Use commas, apostrophes and periods. Don't mix up simple words you learned the difference between in third grade: to/too/two, their/there/they're, your/you're, etcetera. Don't you dare use an abbreviation unless it's a canon one (you may say BLI but not lmao). If your post looks like "when i put in a dependant claus i didnt add a comma cuz im confused as to wtf a dependant claus even is", I will try to avoid reading what you write! Even out of canon, it makes you look a bit silly. 2. Good content! If you think that your post doesn't have any bearing on the rest of the group (like if your character is standing off to the side and just mentally commenting on the proceedings), try to make it relevant! We do care what you're thinking, but if two people are off talking to a child they found wandering the desert and you're sitting on a rock and staring at them, thinking "Well, the kid seems nice. I think that maybe I could trust her. I bet she'd be good with a gun," it would make more sense to go over there and say something than to stand back and be passive! Sometimes it makes sense for your character to stay silent and avoid acting, but it might also seem really out of place in some context! Also, try to avoid using one simple sentence per post. I'm sure that all of you have more to say than just ten words, and I'd love to see it! 3. Knowledge of content! If you're talking about something that's actively going on or has happened in the past, try to know what you're saying! For instance, if you were discussing the Viper crisis with a friend for whatever reason, you would want to know that the leader's name was not Viper. If you're a BLI member discussing Wolfblood, you'd know that it wasn't brainwashing, but fear conditioning. Unless you are so far in denial that there is no hope of recovery, you know that the Fab Four have been dead for about two years by now. However, don't have your character know things that they have no reason to know: for instance, if you just met a character and they haven't introduced themselves, don't use their name in conversation. Someone who's lived in Zone 1 all their lives wouldn't know what BLI-controlled New York looks like. 4. Interesting inter-character dynamics! There's an area between best friends and mortal enemies, so try playing with it! Speak to different people differently. Figure out what your character likes and dislikes about them and stick to that. Not even the kindest character has no flaws! Also, don't fall head over heels in love with someone without reason, and don't go on a homicidal rampage against someone without reason. Make your relationships realistic! Usually, one thread takes up a week at most in the timeline. Rome wasn't built in a day. Your friendship with the girl you met yesterday shouldn't be either. Also, actually take action when something's happening. The head of a Drac unit shouldn't just order his underlings to search the abandoned house, but should instead go in with them. If a Killjoy is engaged in a firefight with a pair of Crows, try to help one of the sides (whichever your character is on, of course) instead of just standing on that sand dune and watching it happen. 5. Interesting characters! Don't be flat. Your character is supposed to be a human being. Don't center her entire psyche around her love life. Don't center his entire personality around his temper. Just like you never hear of real people talking about nothing but how their clothes look (I hope), you shouldn't make your character talk nonstop about his girlfriend or all the Killjoys he's converted or that one time he got punched in the face by Kobra Kid and decided he wanted to be the next Crocodile Hunter. A little bit of elaboration, a little bit of backstory, and a little bit of thinking as to their philosophies, likes and dislikes makes for a good character. Trust me, characters with dimensions are more fun! Please make me want to read your threads. I've been ignoring a lot of them lately, and I never did that before last month. Rekindle my interest in what you have to say!

Paranoid that I fall a little on point 5 sometimes.
I am noticing that D has a very different breed of psychosis from other characters with similar traits.

A lot of characters with similar traits are Killjoys. He's allowed. And I don't know much about Delta yet, really, but I think he should be fine. First of all, he is the most tolerant member of BLI in the history of ever. That alone gives him a bit of depth. You realize that he was once a KJ of a high enough caliber to hang with the Fab Four and now he's at the highest rank of BLi's militant wing, you wonder what happened. He's just chock fulla mystery. I mean, do we even know his name?
I think you're good.
((For the reference, this is Vol.))

Ahaha 'high caliber KJ' indeed. I think he just has a taste for redheads and was the right kind of dangerous liaison. But enough about that and my borderline sue-ing.
Delta's meant to be mysterious. He's more terrifying that way. And no, only I know his name, ahaha. I've been developing him for like a year and a half now so I would hope he's got some substance.

*Day starts poking at him* You asked for that one.
well, yeah, Vol's been in the works since Christmas 2010. I think she's okay. I'm most worried about Angie and maybe Knight. Day is just too silly to be a flat character, I think.

I'm tempted to bring in one of my Killjoy characters but she kind of exists only as a voice on the radio because she's totally a shut-in with some robot helpers.

Well, as always, I'll tell you to consult Arson. But as our last radio personality quit months upon months ago, I'm sure it would be fine! owo Especially if your character is who I think your character is, based on Arson's recent art.
((Cryptic for no reason. And no, I do not intend to get off my Day account just to post here. IT'S MY THREAD AND I DO WHAT I WANT.))
