I agree for the Killhoy cities. I've been thinking about it for a while too. It would be cool to jave a real KJ city, with bars and things. Maybe a place where they could rest a bit between two travellings or two massive raids. Las Vegas is cool. I thought of San Fran/Oakland too. Or maybe it would be a BL/i city.

'Lec: yes yes and yes! Vegas makes perfect sense as a Kj hub. I think BLI would only have LA and NYC as full blown cities, maybe Chicago. Fail: San Fran would also work.
Debating moving the BLI hub in Italy to Venice cos the KJs would totally want to keep Rome. Opinions?

Chicago probably would be a BL/Ind city. I always figured the Midwest either is mostly desolated, or they just don't care about the fight. It's probably not a desert either, but the effects of the Helium Wars still are in effect (i.e. hot summers, frigid winters, etc.).
That's a hard decision on whether or not Better Living has control over Rome or Venice in Italy. It could seriously go either way. In any case, there would probably be a serious turf war going on trying to keep Rome from each other's hands.
I think I may have just come up with a possible story line maybe with this. Fighting for control over a big city in the war that is Killjoys vs. Better Living? Just an idea.

Ooooh, turf war over Rome sounds nice. I figured BLI would want it for the strategic location and KJs want it for the history. And I thought Chicago might not be the most necessary if NYC controlled one side of the US and LA had another, but BLI Chicago might work better.

The Killjoys would have Napoli in Italy. I totaly see them having the HQs here : it's a town with a lot of history, and that today still lives like the italian legends : the laundry between the streets, and all. I personnally am convinced the KJs would have it.

Not exactly sure where Napoli is but okay, cool. I think Italy in general would be a place the KJs wanted. Florence sounds nice. And Milan is all fashiony.

Woops, I wrote it in italian. I meant Naples, you know, in the south of Italy.

Ah! I know of Naples, yes. And it's supercool that you know Italian (coming from a Latin student). All is well.

I was thinking, does it make sense to assume that killjoys are a world wide phenomenon? It would make more sense if they were local (or at least regional), unless somehow the ideology spread. Killjoys worldwide would imply they were there (or in prototypical form) before international communication failure or that they were somehow influenced by a power that has access to such communication after the helium wars...
Actually, that goes with one of my theories: that the highest BLI powers actually started/promote the killjoys, as they are local distractions for the populace and putting killjoys into a brainwashing->drac->realization->killjoy->brainwashing cycle actually keeps rebellious minds at bay from the BLI execs.

I'd actually think that anyway, if there's a thing in the universe, there will be an opposition to this thing. There is no government witjout an opposition. I think the KJ phenomenon would develope in lookalike shapes around the world since it's the same opponent. Whatever it is, there will always, always have someone whose opinion will differ from the authority, as powerful and controlling it is. It's local, the communities don't know about eachother, but they exist everywhere. It's statistic and it respects the laws of probabilities.

They're probably called different things elsewhere, but I think that there would definitely be rebels all over the globe. I mean, there are MCR fans everywhere. Even if it's only them being rebellious, there's still a bunch. They can't all live near LA.

My brother did an overseas thing, and there were Killjoy-esque groups, along with some more... cultish... people. He also ventured to Rome and such, which was the first instance I had heard of any Killjoy going there. So... I don't know what that means canon-wise.

Cultish? MCR cult or something?

That would leave Rome as rebel-held. Along with Jerusalem and whatever other city he visited along the way (I forget). MCR cult that worships them as gods might be cool...

It wasn't an MCR cult, it was an order of assassins he based off of actual mythology inspired by a video game. Gotta say, he did it rather flawlessly. If there's one thing my brother can do, it's combine fandoms. (Of course, he does a Hell of a lot more.)
