It drives it home more if a real character dies, though. We can't have ANOTHER huge, cataclysmic event where none of the characters WITH names die. Both the August 1st fight and the Viper battle were like that; if we're being realistic, that's not how it should have been. As much as it hurts to say, I'll volunteer Volume for the death roster if no one else wants to be on it. That being said, I'd much rather make up a character about a month beforehand, have him/her make some friends, then kill him/her off, so I won't have to kill the character I've come to think of as an extension of myself.

Feel free to start prepping a new character to die, by all means. No need to kill Vol off. I'd do the same, but the killjoy group I'm writing with is already big enough that adding another character just for the heck of it wouldn't make much sense.

Plus it's against the rules. *nod nod nod* I probably wouldn't have killed Vol off; IA would kill ME. XD I'll need to make up a character from scratch, or maybe take one from one of the books I used to want to write, because all of my new-character ideas have been rendered invalid, but I could totally make one.

It wouldn't be against the rules if I didn't make a new account, and it was known that my intent was to kill them off before too long. We'll see how things go... but yeah, absolutely use some of your writing characters! That'd be interesting Let's leave this thread for more ideas, now, unless someone has a question.

Ah, I forgot that little loophole. Fair enough. *shrug*
So. Mega-arcs. Are we ACTUALLY going to start planning a mega-arc now?

Not immediately; Poison's got something in the works for his characters, Red and I have a short term arc for our characters, and once the BLI team gets going again Bullet's team will be on a rescue mission. But yes, some time soon, we will

If we're waiting for a while, I'd vote that we do the mega-arc during the summer, please, so all of us people in legitimate school can participate as much as we want to (I know that with the August First line I kept getting lost because POST FLURRY GAH.)
Also, I still totally want to do something centered in New York and possibly Tokyo once I learn enough about the place; anyone else want to join me? Maybe that could be the locale of my new replacement character....If no one else wants to join me, then I can live without it, but I think it would be fun. It wouldn't even need to be much, I guess.

Hey? I'm not sure I'm in the good place, but I was on devA and I saw a bunch of Killjoyversers were in a discussion about the roles in the Zones. There was that concept of the Runner, a sort of postman, that travels from the I Forgive You mailbox to all the zones, and make mail pass to Battery City. I think it's a pretty interesting idea for another arc. I imagine the runner would travel by two or three : the guys were talking about Show Pony being himself a sort of Runner. You see the picture.
What do you guys think?

Show Pony seemed to me like he was more Dr. D's secretary than an inter-Zone postman, but I see what you're getting at. It seems like a reasonable job; if we don't have a radio station anymore, we need some way to get news out. You have two spare character slots as far as I know, so you could plausibly do that on your own.

Okay... Thanks Can I create a thread for the mailbox? Yes for me too, Show Pony was more of a record seeker for Dr D, or something.

I'm not the authority figure here. If it was up to me, I'd say go for it, but you should probably consult Arson and Red, especially if you're planning on making a separate character to be the runner.

Yes, feel free! I do like the idea of a mail Runner in the Zones... just let me or Red know the name of any new characters you create!

I love the idea of a mail runner! I would also like to explore the underground supply system to and from Battery city... I bet there are some amazing characters and situations to be had.
Vol, I am very interested in a mega-arc and going international, but I will be out (Geo field camp and then Paleontology field work) from July to August. Yes, I will literally be out for two months, more or less...

Then we'll just have to do it in June. Mid-June, preferably. I think Blackie and I get out of school on the 8th. I mean...if it's okay with you guys. We can start earlier, too. But Red's kind of integral.

Personally I'm always free to write 'cause of our time gap, everyone is online at night (where I am anyway) so I'm never busy, plus I hardly sleep ^^)
