*after a fair bit of searching, finds access to the heating ducts, and after a bit of searching and climbing, finds a duct that leads to Orwell's office, silently listens to the conversation happening within. 5:29:37*

Flycams send their video feeds directly to the main surveillance team. If we begin to inquire it will be suspicious. Another team so soon would also share the same results. Like it or not, our superiors will probably not approve our plans. At least not this late into our plan. A plan which has failed. *I sit in my chair, rubbing my temples with my fingers and staring down at the papers littering my desk. Max is a complicated situation. It is like walking on a thawing bed of ice. One wrong step...* I believe our best bet is to send someone out into the zones incognito. Someone Max has not yet met. If they dress as a killjoy and somehow join their ranks they could locate Max and kill him. All while giving us more information such as safehouses and where they get their food supplies.

*carefully starts loosening the grate covering the vent without making a sound, just enough so it will stay where it is until the right time. 5:27:09*

*I nod* There are a few already out there in the zones, or we could send a new one. I have to warn you that they don't have a high success rate. Most of them end up, ah, converting to the killjoy lifestyle, but as long as they complete the mission before that *I shrug* I wouldn't have a problem with it.
Jon, you know Red was part of a program, right? I was thinking about calling over the next two that are ready, Blue and Green Havoc. They are in the next city over, training. Red's major fault is that she kept searching for someone to rely on, thus the fiasco that was Red and Max. These two new ones are dependent upon each other. I believe they will be more deadly than Red ever was.

We can discuss possible recruits for the job later. I can think of several which could be considered. As for Blue and Green Havoc, I would have them brought over to the tower whenever you feel they are ready. With the disappearance of both Red and Max I feel like we must bombard our unit with new information to prevent them from asking questions. The new members should do an accurate job of that. I would also like to meet them. Of course run them through tests and group training to test their competency. *I walk over to the table by the wall and grab the coffee pot. I turn back around before leaning against the table and pouring myself a mug, then sipping it confidently and smirking at him over the brim.*

I'll have them brought over immediately. I'll go and complete the mission report. Max will be logged as MIA, probably dead. We captured 5 killjoys, a good number that should boost our unit back to the number one spot.
*I pour myself a cup of coffee as well. And briefly look out the window*
I'm meeting with our new annalist, Vico, at 6:30. Anything you want me to tell him?

Just give him my regards. I trust you to be able to instruct him on our procedures and rules. Make sure you explain to him what makes our unit unique and talk it up. The better our impression the fewer problems we will deal with in the future. *I place my coffee mug down and yawn, suddenly feeling the days events drain me. I have not been sleeping well and it is beginning to take its toll. I remind myself to stop by the pharmacy later for something to cure insomnia.*

*I look at Orwell, thinking for a second* Get some sleep. We'll talk tomorrow, ok?
*I go back to my office with my coffee cup and finish the zone report. When that's done I pull up the files for Green and Blue, which reminds me that I need to get Red's body tomorrow from Hank for autopsy. Perhaps she'll be more useful in death*
*I also need to talk to the new data annalist. The logs indicate she's been working on a project with Vico, and I am eager to find out what it is. I also want her to work on a program to trace back radio signals to their source, preferably without the killjoys knowing... I get lost in my thoughts and all too soon it is 6:30*

*I arrive on the correct floor and head down to Wilson's office; I'd memorized the room numbers for both him and Orwell, so it's easy to find. I straighten my jacket, then knock on the door before stepping inside.* Hello again, Riley. Did you miss me?

*I look up from my work behind my desk* Not really. And you will address me as Mr.Wilson or Sir like all the others.
*I stand up stiffly thanks to my shoulder, moving to make another pot of coffee* Shall we move to the living room? There's a couple of chairs and a sofa in there. I apologize for the lack of decorations. I've been too busy to do anything with the place.
*I look down at my clothes* Or my outfit, apparently...

*I grin at his response, and walk over to join him.* Sir yes sir. The living room sounds fine. And don't worry about the decorations, I understand you have a lot to deal with. Your outfit looks lovely, don't worry about it. *I start towards the doorway to the next room, and then remember I gave him my cord* Oh, Riley - did you get the knot undone, by any chance?

*I finish setting up the coffee and turn around* Hm? Oh yes. And it's still Sir or Mr.Wilson, by the way *I pull out seven or so small pieces of string* I simply cut it in half. What is disconnected cannot knot. That was the puzzle, right?
*I hold the pieces of string out to him*

Isn't that what I said? *I ask nonchalantly, but raise my eyebrows when I see the cord. I'm surprised by his solution to the problem, and not entirely in a bad way. It says something about his personality. I make a face when I take the pieces from him, though.* You cut up my cord! You'll have to get me a new one. I need something to occupy my fingers.
*I pocket the bits of cord and take a seat on one of the chairs, my smile returned.* So. What did you want to discuss, exactly?

*I take a seat on the sofa, surprised by how comfy it is. Outside, the sun is getting low. It will probably go down in an hour or so*
We need to talk, first, about your intentions for the unit, why you chose to join unit 8, if I understand your intentions correctly. Then I need to debrief you on BLI conduct and procedures. After that, you are free to ask me any questions you wish.

*I spread my hands* My intentions are to aid the unit in whatever ways are needed. I'm a consultant. I offer advice, get information, coordinate between departments... anything you'd like, really. And as for why I joined Unit 8, it was partly because you were recruiting, and partly because the unit has a good record. And the unit leaders aren't bad, either. *My smile widens a bit at that.*
