Contrary to the standard setup of the forum, this thread is OOC, or "out of character." That means you can talk to each other without radio broadcasts, discuss information that your characters don't have, etc. You don't need to use parenthesis or brackets on your posts to show that you're OOC. The purpose of this thread is to let everyone work on the mystery and share ideas, even if your characters are otherwise engaged. So talk and ask questions! I know the point of the mystery isn't clear yet, but hopefully things will start making more sense when you see how Vico and IA handle the first clue.

I'll start this off. I suppose I should be using my 'Arson' account, but I'm too lazy to switch over. The conclusion for the first clue: the killers are basing their hints off MCR lyrics, and the most emphasized lyric (and therefore the most important) for the first clue is "A phantom to lead you" (signified by the pointing dead man wearing a ghost hood).

So we're looking for a certain clue every time?

You're looking for a certain lyric, yes. Start with that, and then we can work on putting them all together

I thought that was a huge clue. The other thing that jumps out is the references to 'I never told you what I did for a living' which kinda indicates the scale of there victims.

I thought the scale was from Drowning Lessons/the back of the Bullets CD, which I think said something about 1000. I Never Told You What I Did For A Living is the two shots to the back of the head part. I didn't think it mentioned a number.

The story behind the writing of 'I never told you...' and 3 cheer was the story of the couple that dies. The woman goes to heaven and the man goes to hell. The man makes a deal with the devil that if he brings 1000 bodies to take his place he can go to heaven.
The 100 bodies made me think of drowning lessons actually

Does anyone see elements of "Bulletproof Heart" in the most recent OLOS post, or am I crazy?

in the song it sais 1000 dead bodies and so far 100 have been discovered so I think its quite ovious that they need to kill a few more, we need to try and find a clue that points us in the direction of their next attack

Yes. We are up to 200, actually, so the people looking for clues have to figure it out before there's 800 more. Follow along on the "Discovering the Clues" thread as well as on the "In The Beginning" thread.
