Yes, it's just us and the doctors *I motion to the team of doctors who've just stepped out of the elevator behind me* *I clap my hands together* So let's get started, then! *I walk over to the first cell. The killjoy inside gets up quickly when the door opens* Hello, how are you feeling this morning? Go to hell! You can't lock me up like this - let me go now! *I sigh. So rude.* That's not very polite.

*punches the Killjoy across the jaw* didn't your mother teach you manners?

Trite! *I pull him back as the killjoy staggers back against the wall* That's not how we handle things! Watch, please. *I motion to a doctor, who hands me a small remote with a dial. I hold it up for the killjoy to see* While you were unconscious, we had you outfitted with a remote-activated electric collar. You may have noticed it? *The killjoy's hand goes to the thin metal band around his neck, but he doesn't say anything* I can activate that with this remote. Trust me, you don't want me to. Now, I'd like you to turn around, put your hands behind your back, and allow this man to handcuff you.

*One of the Dracs handcuffs him and marches him out into the hall, while the rest of us move to the second door. This killjoy obviously overheard our conversation, because he turns around when the door opens and is handcuffed without trouble. The killjoy in the third cell is still unconscious.* This was the one with the head injury? *I ask the doctors*

*picks the last killjoy up and drags it out of its cell, throws it to the dracs* take him to the hospital wing...it's got no business with us anymore. *they look at Belle, Trite looks at Belle*

Yes, Trite's right. Take him to the hospital wing. Keep him in a secure wing, of course, and if he recovers sufficiently we'll put him in a program as well. As for these two, we'll - *I'm cut off when a Drac is suddenly shoved into me; the second killjoy has started kicking at his guards. They're surprised by the attack and he manages to get past them and take off down the hall. I steady myself, push my glasses back up, and turn the dial on the remote. The killjoy lands hard a few dozen yards away, shouting in pain. I turn the dial back down after a few seconds, and motion for the Dracs to go get him again.*

Um... not right now, Trite. They're rather precise, and they can do damage if they're not used correctly. *I watch as the Dracs pull the killjoy to his feet, then move along with the rest of the group as we head for the elevators.*

To the lower level of the science wing. We have fully equipped labs and viewing rooms there, and we can get started on the programs right away. *We take the elevator up one floor, then get out and start down a long, straight hallway. There are doors every now and then, but it's all very utilitarian. I push open a pair of doors after scanning my card, and direct the Dracs into a room on the left where there is a row of hospital beds.* Strap them down, please.

To start with, yes. Simple sedatives at first. *A doctor steps forward with a tray of syringes and injects each killjoy. They're rather loud, but they quiet down as the drugs take effect*

This is where the experiment starts. As you may know, the Wolfblood program focuses on inundating the patient's mind with positive images of Better Living, contrasted with negative images of life in the Zones. I want to know whether we can speed up the process of reversing their associations by using different types of injections. Some induce happiness, while others cause pain. Does that make sense?
