*Wilson's obviously more concerned with the killjoys than with anything else, so I occupy myself with the same. Shadowing the buildings, I circle to the side a bit. There's a significant open space between the closest structures and the shack, though, so anyone who wants to get close will have to go out in the open. I'm debating whether to risk it when a laser flies past my face. Only by moving quickly behind a dusty plastic rain barrel do I avoid two more shots, and when I see movement in a window I raise my gun to fire - but stop myself quickly when I remember how low my battery's charge is. I curse, hating the uncertainty of the situation.*

*Morand and whoever it is he's working with (I can't recall the name) leave, apparently with the intent of surrounding the building. Wilson, in contrast, is running straight at the shack, as is Max, apparently. I decide to shadow them and, without consulting Mahoney, dart out from behind the corner and start running toward the shack, switching the settings on my guns as I go.*

*I start to move towards the front of the shack and quickly duck when a shot from the window almost hits my head. I see two shadows moving inside, but there could be more. I fire a couple shots through the window and run closer*

(Sorry I haven't posted, I've been busy and shit. No time or energy.)
*We were trailing Max when the attack began. I ducked low behind a tattered fence just before a laser blast burns the concrete building behind me. I curse and peek over the obstruction to look for Max and the others. Unable to see them or the attackers I crouch low again and begin moving. Wilsons transmission sounds adequate so I don't intercede, deciding to use the distraction to my advantage. I climb the fence, careful and quickly, and crouch/run across the lawn as laser beams shower down behind me. I press up against a wall and climb into the broken window of the ramshackle building.*

*I see the others head for the shack, and break cover to follow them. Maybe I can't shoot, but if I can get close enough I can still work hand-to-hand.*

((It's okay [: We understand.))
*I'm unsure what to do momentarily, but then start shooting at the windows, the kill-setting shots burning holes in the glass. After making a fairly wide opening, I start firing quickly into it with one gun, hearing a few breaking noises as my shots hit things that aren't so easily burned. I also continue to make openings for other people to shoot into. I'm not exactly sure that I could hit a Killjoy if I saw one.*

*Seeing Pacis, I signal for her to cover me and jump from cover point to cover point until I'm 10 feet from the door. By now there is smoke in the air and bits of sand around me have been fused to glass. I quickly wipe the sweat from around my glasses and steady my breathing. Time to see who these killjoys really are*

*I trail Wilson for a little while, covering him like a good Crow. At least I don't fail abysmally at this, I think as I fire a shot inside. I smile when I hear a quiet cry from one of the windows. I must have hit someone.* Should I stay out here, sir? Or am I to accompany you in?

*i watch Angie and Wilson head towards the door so I go around to the side and shoot into the windows. I yelp when they fire back and a shot flies right by my side and almost hits me. I can see the shadows moving inside now but I can't tell exactly how many there are*

*As I prepare to kick the door down a shot hits me in the back, a fact I only realize when I find myself face down on the ground, my back pulsing with the shot. I roll over, grunting, and reach for my radio* All units, converge on my location. There are at least two groups of killjoys, maybe more. Use extreme caution.
*A yelp comes from inside the shack. Someone must already be inside...*

*I run to my superior's side, firing with one steady hand as I kneel next to him.* Are you alright, sir? Do you need first aid or something?

*There are loud noises of a firefight towards the front of the ramshackle building. I creep along quietly, each step wary of a creaky floorboard and the squeaking mice that scurry amongst the rubble. I duck low as dust showers down on me when multiple feet thud and clatter on the thin flooring above me. I stifle a cough and continue my journey forward, gun at the ready. I quickly mute my radio to avoid detection when Wilson's voice erupts from it. I keep my back against the wall and sneak up the stairs, peeking around a corner to see a large group clad in multicolored outfits and varying lengths of hair. One poses as a sniper and shoots out the window, another standing behind him and doing the same. A couple of small children huddle together in the corner as their elders check the power reserves on whatever ray gun batteries they can find.*

*Wilson's transmission crackles from my radio, the slight delay making his words echo. I start to move towards him as he'd ordered, but suddenly catch sight of a flash of red and orange around the corner of the building. A shot from the same direction glances off my shoulder, and I hear the sizzle as the ray blast burns through my jacket. Holstering my gun, I sprint towards the shooter, who's ducked away between the buildings*

*I catch site of a shooter in one of the upper windows and raise my gun. Before I can shoot him he turns and sees me, and we fire at the same time. I see my shot hit his chest as his shot hits me square in my shoulder and i stumble back a few feet, my vision going red for a second. I then hear the end of Wilson's transmission and i try to run back to the front of the house*

*I get up as quickly as I can. My back still feels like it is on fire, but I can move. Any injuries can be dealt with later* I'm fine, Pacis. Let's get inside.
*I kick down that damn door and practically run into a killjoy. She's wearing what looks like a blue and purple helmet, so I quickly shoot her in the chest, stunning her. I start to run up the back stairwell so I can stop the desert rats from shooting at my unit. I don't even have time to wonder where Max is. Strange, I think I hear crying...*
