*I lie on the bed and stare blankly at the ceiling. There is a person in a white coat and white surgical mask. I look right through the person. My head starts to hurt. I start screaming. Flashes of light are zooming in front of my eyes* Where am I? What happened? Where is he? Where am I?

*takes note* Subject has lost a year. Not quite there yet. trying again

*I stir less than 5 mins later and I'm given another injection. I once again stare blankly at the ceiling. My head starts to hurt. I start screaming again. The flashes of light start to make me dizzy* Where am I? What happened? Where is he? Where am I?

You cant do this to people, you cant *She repeats the injection for the fourth time, taking notes as she goes. She asks me the year but I say nothing, just stare blankly up at her. I sit there for what seams like an eternity. She repeats the question. My head is thumping like never before, I don't even know my own name let alone the year. Her words are muffled in my ears as the blood rushes to my head. I stay silent as words begin to fail me*

*An intern has led me down to the retraining room and told me that someone inside would give me an overview of the retraining. She knocks twice on the door and steps back*

*I pace the room several times before looking out the small window. I can see half of the city and the desert beyond it. I feel a cold shiver run through me, though I'm not sure why. I hear voices in the hallway. The door is solid, no window and is locked so I can't get out. I start knocking* Um, hello? Anyone?

She is still undergowing her treatment. This is the dangerous part. We're playing with peoples momories, sir. It can't be rushed.

I need her up and running this afternoon. So get in there and finish up!

The problem is she has NO memories at all and wont for several hours. You can huff and puff all you want to be she wont be 'up and running' as you put it til tomorrow at the very earliest

Surely there is something you can do to speed up the process?

I've done all the speeding up I could do. We'll be bringing her down to the information room soon to initiate re-education and thought adjustments. Unless its a temporary thing you want her for then I need to finish the treatment.

Thought adjustments dont work on this one. Do what you have to but I need her this afternoon for something

*I hear footsteps getting further away. I go back to the window, feeling as though I've forgotten to do something. The door opens once again*
