*I pick up the maps I crushed and place them carefully to the side. Underneath I find a blue mask with stars. I'm not sure what it means, why a party mask would be down here. Max is staring at the documents left on the board, so I move beside Max to show him what I found*

*I follow, vaguely wondering if we'll get to order drinks. The stairs creak and groan like they won't hold us up and as we ascend they get darker and darker. I realize they're covered in a thin layer of ash from the fire. It must have come through whatever secret doorway we were coming out of. I manage not to fall through anymore floors and we emerge outside, where it is still boiling. Not a cloud was in the sky to greet us*

*I look down, nodding. I guess I did. I'm not sure how much trouble I am in for it, but the scenery catches my eye again before I can decided what to do. Houses flash one after another. They all look the same, just with different colors. Each house seems to have a measured out space for grass in front of it and some even have tiny trees. I think back to my history classes and how BLI made these for people to put back together their families and create new ones. That way they could most effectively contribute to society*
