I had a life before BLI, I think. But that’s pretty much irrelevant, as I can’t really remember it anyway. I think I lived in a city. I know we went into the bomb shelters when the war got going, and when we came out again, it was with Dracs on either side and BLI drugs in our veins.

I’m only off the drugs now because of my sister: apparently her allotment isn’t enough for her, so she started stealing mine. I know I should try and stop her, but I don’t think I have the heart. I don’t want to live like that, but every time I see her she looks like she’s walking on air… and being a killjoy’s so dangerous… maybe a stronger person could help her out, but that’s not me.

My dad has a inconsequential job in a factory, but my mom works in the BLI tower. On days I’m not required to be in school, I dress up as her (makeup and wedges are wonderful things) and spy on what’s going on in the towers. I radio whatever info I find that’s of consequence to the killjoys whose frequencies I have. I haven’t been caught yet, but whenever I present that ID it still scares the hell out of me.

Now, I’m helping my friend Blackout rescue her little brother, and that’s gonna take more than radioing information from a tower. I’m about to become a wanted criminal, dashing between safehouses in the zones… but if the alternative is being BLI’s slave, I’m ready to face the danger.

Welcome to the airwaves, Trap. It's good to have help in the city, as we always seem to be outnumbered. Stay shiny out in the Zones - dodging lasers can be even harder than dodging security cameras.
