*It's been over a month since Muze and I split from the other Killjoys, and now I'm wondering why we did. Every day feels the same under the nuclear sun, and the only thing we hear from the radio anymore is static. I've tried reaching out, transmitting, asking where everyone is and what they're doing, but so far there's been no answers. We're both starting to get antsy and worried. Too long with no missions, no one even checking in, it wears on the heart and the mind.*

Ghost?

*I look over to where Muze is curled up on the passenger seat.*

What is it?

How come we never do anything anymore? Why did we leave the others? And why don't they answer us? You asked them if they were planning anything and if they wanted help and they never answered. Are they mad?

*She sounds so hopeless and lost, and it breaks my heart.*

No baby, they're not mad...at least I don't think they are. I guess they're just busy.

But why did we leave?

I don't know. *I shake my head* I think there was a reason but I can't remember anymore...

*She falls silent for a moment. Then* Why are we just driving around the Zones? Couldn't we find a safehouse? Or go on a mission?

We have to keep running. We've been gone for so long that I don't even know who's on our side anymore. For all we know they could've all gone back to BLI. That's why we can't stay at a safehouse. And there's only two of us, not nearly enough to launch any sort of worthwhile attack.

But...didn't you go into Battery City by yourself, to try and rescuse Nix?

I did, and it was the stupidest thing I've ever done. If it wasn't for Bunny...if it wasn't for her I'd be dead. I know you're bored and tired, and you miss Bunny and Arson and Adrenaline and all the others just as much as I do, but until we hear from them we're just gonna have to keep running. If I knew where they were I'd go to them, but I don't. I don't even know where to begin looking. I'm sorry...

*She shrugs* It's not your fault. And at least we have each other.

*I smile weakly* You've got that right, kid. I'd go stir crazy if you weren't here with me.

Can I send out another transmission? Maybe someone will answer this time.

*She looks so hopefull that I don't have the heart to say no, so I hand her the radio.* Tell 'em that we're looking for some Killjoys up for a mission.

Alright! *She grins and grabs the radio* Attention all Killjoys! This is Muze and Ghost, and we're looking for something to do. If you're heading up your own mission and need some more people we'd love to join you, or if you have a half thought out idea for a mission let us know and we can lend a hand. If anyone can hear us please respond. We've been running around the Zones with nothing to do for too long and we haven't heard a peep from any of you! So if you're still out there, let us know! Also, if there's any Killjoys in need of a rescue, we're here for you, just send out a transmission asking for help. Ciao for now! Muze out!

*She nods and crosses her fingers* I hope someone responds. I miss Bunny...and all the rest.

Me too, baby. Me to.

*I press the gas pedal to the floor and we speed off, going nowhere in particular, waiting for an answer that I'm afraid might never come.*

[Arson Anthem]

*rb* This is Arson Anthem responding - is that really you, Muze? It's good to hear your voice again! Where are you guys? I'll come pick you up!

*rb* Arson??? Yay! You're still around! I miss you!!! We're just runnin' around the zones...I think we're in zone 3 or 4 at the moment. Where are you? We've got the car so we can come meet you! *turns away so her voice is muffled but still audible* Can we Ghost? Please? Pretty please?

Of course we can. *takes the radio* Arson, great to hear a familiar voice! How ya been? Where are you and we'll come meet you.

*rb* *I laugh at Muze's excitement* If you take the main highway east, then exit 16 in Zone 6, go for about ten miles. There's a driveway on the left, behind a patch of creosote. Follow the driveway until you see the house - it's a ways away, but it's a huge one-story rambler. You can't miss it! We really need to catch up!
