*I jog up the stairs to the top of the bell tower. The bell's still in place, and the bell-pull rope is attached well, so I just pull it up and toss it over the outer wall. If I have to slide down it'll give Arson and Retro a good loud warning.*
*rb* This is Gear, in position. Good view. If you hear me without the radio there's trouble.

*to Retro* I'm as ready as I'll ever be. Drop my off by the entrance to the mine, but keep the car with you. If you have to make a quick getaway I'd say head for the mine - the car's too easy to track and pick off with a copter. *I pause* On second thought, if we're deciding on a rendezvous point, I should probably let Gear know, yes?

Ha. Okay, yeah. Sounds like a plan. * I gulp and let her out by the mine.* Good luck. See you in a bit. *I add under my breath* Hopefully. *I drive a bit off and park. I make sure Vespa's tied up securely. I lightly slap her in the face a few times.* Wakey wakey sunshine. *I pull her out the back and lean against the car, letting her fall to the ground still half stunned. I pull out my radio and turn it on.* Ohhhh, Miiiiisss Faaaaith. Please don't keep me waiting. I have a busy day. Your job may be unimportant but I assure you mine is.

*I go straight to the entrance of the mine, which is partially blocked by loose rubble. I climb over the rocks and find a spot where I can kneel comfortably and aim down towards Retro. The extreme brightness outside should mean I'm invisible in the shadows, even if someone was looking right at me. Glancing up, I notice the splintered support beams over my head* ...well that's reassuring...

*RB* We're coming in to land. You should be able to hear the copter in a minute and you better have held up your side of the bargin or I promise you will regret it. If I smell a whiff of another killjoy.... well you know what happens!

*I hear Vespa's voice over the radio. I smile but Laura jumps. I turn to Laura* Someone is angry. These people, if you can call them that, have kidnapped my best friend. Now they want you before they'll give her back to me. I don't know what kind of torture they've put her through but I made her a promise when killjoys killed her parents that I'd always take care of her.
*The copter lands and we both get out. I radio retro* You should have seen where the helipoter landed. Bring Vespa to that spot.

Yeah yeah yeah, that's what they all say. *I hear Bunny's voice over the radio and sigh. I look at the vehicel but decide it'll only make them more suspicious if I take it.* Let's go. *I yank Vespa up by her cuffs and pull her along towards the helicopter landing zone. I see Bunny standing there and I grin smartly and yell* Howdy partner!

*From my spot in the tower, I see the copter land. Lucky for me, it's just barely within shooting distance. Or at least, the bolts might not be deadly from this far, but they'll still do some damage*
