*I laugh and put my hands up in defense.* Okay, okay! At least I can cut a deal with Peter and get our dresses at a discounted price... I'm going to go find Brian. *I pat Red's knee gently and stand up.* Be right back. *I hurry out of the room to look for the head doctor so I can be discharged and get approval to take Red out for an hour or two. Even if he disagrees I'll still kidnap her. Everyone around here is too influenced by men.*

*Sylvia leaves, and I turn to smile at Red. I'm still confused and startled that either of them would be so nice to me after I played a large role in returning them to the city, especially Sylvia. It's not like Red can really protest, but I'm still glad she'll tolerate me.* How does this seem to you, Red? Do you think it will be fun?

*Aerith looks beautiful, even in BLI sweats. I know at one point I had a whole smalltalk conversation planned a few minutes ago, but that dissappeared fromy mind the moment she opened the door. I decide just to get to the point* I was wondering of you would go to the holiday party *I pause, knowing I'm forgetting something. Oh* with me. Yes, would you go to the holiday party with me?

Absolutely not! *I was already on edge from the holiday announcement, which required several of my hospitalized patients to go to this crazy thing. This would be a logistical nightmare for my staff. Then Sylvia, who should be in bed, wandered into my office (I was by myself, I had already helped Jarva move into his own office) and starts to ask if she can take Red shopping! Does no one understand that people need time to recover? I hunt for headache pills in my desk as I try to talk calmly with Sylvia*
Look, I know this holiday thing is exciting, but this is still a hospital. If you would like to show her pictures of dresses, that would be acceptable. *I find the pills, thank god*

*I frown, arms folded across my chest. I don't like the idea of just showing her pictures of dresses, it's not the same. Each dress fits differently and I don't know her size. I roll my eyes though because he has a point- she won't be able to get up and spend a few hours in the city. I curse inwardly, not wanting to leave her alone with the bastards but also know that I promised her a dress and this party might be the best thing for her.* Fine, fine. Pictures. Got it. Thanks anyways my man. *I grin and wink at him before spinning and walking out of the office and back to our room.*

*I sit in my office staring at the old photo of my sister and I* well this is getting me nowhere... *I stand and decide to pay a visit to sylvia. I get to the room she shares with red and knock lightly on the door* Sylvia? are you awake? *I call softly into the room*

*I have just returned and was about to break the news to the girls when there's a knock. I ask them for a moment and go to the door and open it a bit to peek out. It's Jarva. I smile slightly and squeeze past the door only to shut it behind me.* Hello sir.

Is the child awake? *I ask sylvia quietly* I need to talk to her... my sister left some things for me to tell her. before she ran off. *I swallow yet another lump that is growing in my throat holding back the tears that threaten to spill from my eyes. I take two green pills from a bottle in my pocket and the feeling of sadness goes away*

*I watch him pull out the pills, not at all surprised. I've seen it enough and done it myself to know that when something upsets you, you reach for your pill bottle. It's saddening but I don't judge him a bit. I nod and open the door quietly.* Yeah, she should still be awake. Feel free to talk to her. Angeline and I are going shopping. Good day Doctor. We'll see you at the party. *I smile sadly and quickly walk off, Pacis following me, slightly confused.*

*I look back sadly at her wanting to explain that im just going through the motions trying to blend in, but Angeline walks along with her leaving me unable to explain myself with out blowing my cover. I walk quietly into the room smiling kindly at the small girl in the bed covered in tubes and wires* hello red... Sugar sent me to give you a message.
