This section of the forum is devoted to the history of California, starting in 2010 before the Helium Wars and leading up to 2019/2020 ("present day"). It's set up differently than the rest of the forum, so please read these guidelines to avoid confusion.
1.) Current characters may or may not be involved.
In other words, people participating in the history threads will create new characters that might die off or disappear before 2019, unless their existing characters have potential for a significant storyline. If a 2019 character is a 15 year old, for example, they probably weren't doing much of interest nine years previously.
2.) The storylines will be scripted.
Not word-for-word, but major events will be planned as a group and then written through. This means it won't be as much of a free-for-all as the forum proper. If you want to join a storyline, get in contact with someone who's already involved - via Facebook, forum messaging, or anything else that works for you. If you're not sure how to contact them, message me and I'll help as best I can.
3.) Emphasis will be on quality of writing, and as such, moderation will be more strict. Participants won't get kicked off if they forget to capitalize a sentence, but they shouldn't take offense if someone points it out.
4.) All thread names should include the year in the title. If significant time passes, start a new thread. We want to keep the timeline as easy to understand as possible.
Overall, have fun! This is an opportunity to explore new characters, develop your backstories, and try something completely new without leaving the world of 2019. Ask questions if you have them, take the initiative, and get involved!

Yes, I'm still running - sort of. But it is lonely out here. Haven't seen anyone else for a while.
