1. Respect the dead, and regret the lives you take. (They were people once, too. They may have had families who will be mourning their loved ones.)
2. Kill only if necessary. (Taking someone else's life is a serious thing. Do not take it lightly.)
3. If you need help, ask. (Other Killjoys can easily be reached by radio if you need someplace to stay, someone to watch your back, or even something as simple as someone to talk to.)
4. Protect those weaker than you. (Wounded Killjoys and those fresh to fighting are your allies, too. Watch their backs, or they might get shot down.)
5. No infighting. (Save your violent energy for the enemy!)
6. Don't take unnecessary risks. (It's essentially throwing your life out the window, which is a colossal risk. You are not a god and cannot take out an entire patrol on your own. Remember this.)
7. Be loyal to your allies. (Don't leave them without a damn good reason. NEVER leave a fellow Killjoy in a moment of dire need.)
8. Know your limits and stay within them. (If you can't fight with a gun, don't force yourself to. Find something that you're good at and stick to it.)
9. Don't blame people for their shortcomings. (No one can help it if they're bad with guns, if their legs don't work, or if they get sick at the sight of blood. It's not their fault, so don't act like it is!)
10. Don't rely on BLI. (Supply trucks do not supply everything you need. You will need to rely on your own ingenuity often, so learn how to hunt and repair weapons. It could save your life.)
11. Think before you jump into a battle. (Running in without a strategy is almost a surefire way to get yourself any your allies hurt.)
12. Never give up hope. (Sure, it looks like we're fighting a hopeless battle. But the instant we give up hope, we've already lost.)
13. Excessive violence is just plain wrong. (If the patrol you've been fighting is fleeing, let it be. Do not run after them and stab them to death. CERTAINLY do not find out who they are and murder their families. If you stoop that low, you are proving BLI right.)
14. Respect the opinions of your fellow Killjoys. (They've survived this long; they deserve a say in things, too!)
15. Treat every day like the miracle it is. (You're still alive, still breathing, still fighting. Make the most of it!)
16. Be prepared for anything. (No, we're not Boy Scouts. But you never know when a Drac patrol could show up!)
17. Be cautious. (Always check out a place before settling in. You never know what dangers might lurk in that locked room....)
18. Innocent until proven guilty applies to Killjoys. (Accusing people of something they didn't do is one of the easiest ways to lose allies. Try to avoid it...unless you have solid evidence.)
19. Be aware of your surroundings. (Keep your eyes wide and your ears pricked so that you don't get ambushed. Anything can happen in the Zones!)
20. Trust your allies to keep you sane. (I'll be the first to admit that everyone comes close to losing hope sometimes. At those times, friends are the absolute best things people can have. They'll protect you from anything and everything, including yourself. If you can't trust them...well, who can you trust?)
21. Make every word you say and everything you do count. (In the Zones, you never know which move will be your last, which words you'll say last before you're gunned down from behind. Have fabulous last words.)
22. Do your best to live with no regrets. (Again, you never know when you will die. As a wise, wonderful man once said, "One day, your life will flash before your eyes. Make sure it's worth watching.")
23. Never stop asking questions. (There are always new things to learn! Don't trick yourself into believing that you know everything, because, no offense, but you don't.)
24. Don't give in to unfavorable opinions. (The best example of this is, of course, BLI and their pills. But it's still necessary on a lesser level. If you give in to the pressure of fellow Killjoys, you may very well regret it later. That's not to say that you always will, but if you don't want to do something, don't.)
25. Never go it alone. (Your fellow Killjoys are here to help you survive. There is strength in numbers, as the old saying goes, and you would do well to remember that. Alone, you'll be gunned down in an instant; with a partner or two that you work well with, there's not telling how far you'll go.)
