hello fellow Killjoys, this is Twisted Poison, transmitting from zone 2, and this is my story. I was an orphan, only 13 when the fires started. i only had one friend, and his name was kris. long story short, when the fires hit we went into hiding, but 2 dracs found us. we escaped but only just and we knew that we had to do something, and we had limited weaponry so we knew we wouldn't win a fight with them (between us we each had one weapon, me a laser, very outdated now but i keep it in working order and i still carry it to this day, and kris carried a laser blade, about 14 inches long and the handle took up 4-5 of that). so we set a trap for them. we modified a old cellar to a trip wire so when the the trip wire was set off the doors opened, letting the dracs free-fall 8 feet down. what we didn't realize was that an exterminator was following the dracs and came to kill us in the night. we were very paranoid at the time and one of us was on guard duty, saw him coming and we bolted outta there. as we ran we ran right into the exterminators squad of dracs, bout 4-5 of them and kris got shot. i got away...... i went back later to see if he was OK, i had to leave him behind i couldn't run with him so wounded. he was barely there, they shot him 2 more times, one in each leg so he couldn't move. he told me that everything happened for a reason and handed me his blade. i told him he was coming with me but he wouldn't have it, he knew he was done for and so did i, i just didn't want to believe it. his last words to me were "I'll be watching from the sidelines, and u better live a little for me k?" and he died right there in my arms. after taking all the gear that he had on him, a few rations and hid backpack, i walked to zone 5 where i ran into some killjoys. i went with them on many adventures, they taught me how to use my gun and blade properly, and showed me that even tho the world was now a wasteland, the people in it were still alive, still fighting, and still making the best of it. when i was 18, i told them that i would make my own gang of killjoys and keep fighting the good fight, and that's where i am now. just wondering thru zone 2, looking for people to join my cause. if anyone is out there, anyone, let me know. Yes, I'm still running - sort of. But it is lonely out here. Haven't seen anyone else for a while.
