I get that, but its not easy to forgive and forget experiences like that. *i try to calm down and focus on Tesla, it helps me relax a little*

*I smile at how cute Vol looks right now* Puppy dog eyes have never worked on me. Let's get you treated, alright? Then we'll worry about you fighting. The sooner we get out of here, the better, we should have at least a couple hours before they launch the assault. We'll need everyone at their best, alright?

But...but...but.... *I give it up; even though stammering occasionally worked back in high school, this is the real world.* Fine. But even if I'm not fixed up perfectly by then, I can still fight, right?

*I pat Vol on the head and turn around to everyone else* The sooner we take off the better. Everyone in? Last call for Battery City Hospital! All aboard!

That's not an answer to my question! *I pout and cross my arms, looking like a classic bratty child from television.* Even if you said no, you KNOW you wouldn't be able to stop me, right?

I'll do what i can to keep you safe. Now shush. *The helicopter begins to lift off as everyone gets on* I'm sure you'll be fine. Just don't worry too much, okay?

[Kaylie the medic]
*I can tell Sam (the medic) is a little nervous to be treating a killjoy whose friends are possible trigger happy, but I signal for him to calm down as we load her onto the helicopter. Sam is fine once he starts focusing on the medicine. I check her leg and shoulder as the medic helicopter takes off, the other two following. The leg looks bad, it will probably require surgery. I look at the killjoy*
Hi, I'm Kaylie and that's Sam. He's going to start you on an IV, just some plasma to keep you going, and I'm going to give you a shot to help with the pain *I look at the killjoy she's been talking to as well* I promise there's nothing in it except the pain medication.

Good. Because if there is even a drop of anything more, I'm bringing this entire chopper down. I've crashed before, i know how to survive. I don't think you have. *I look down at Vol, then to the medics* Sorry... She just means a lot to me. You know?

[Kaylie the Medic] *Sam give me a 'can I freak out now?' look, but I shake my head. I want to give the killjoys the benefit of the doubt, but the ones I've met so far seem so violent... I take a deep breath, clearing my head, and get to work.
[Wilson] *We follow the medic helicopter and land with it on top of BLI Tower. Orwell and I will quickly check on the hurt members of our Unit and then head out with whatever Killjoys and Dracs we can find for this last fight. I turn to Orwell* Let's make this quick. I don't know how much time we have.

*I walk out of the garage toward the wall and find a service ladder leading to the top of it. I'm almost mystically drawn to it, like a moth to a flame. As i reach the top i gaze over the horizon at the setting sun. It's almost beautiful. I begin to see little black specs coming up, over the horizon and realize what it is. I get on my radio to the others* Guys, Vipers. Looks like a heavy force inbound. Northwest side of the wall. *A bullet form a sniper ricochets off the wall next to my food* Be ready for a fight.

Do we have any heavier weapons? Ray-guns alone ain't gonna help us here. *I can barely hear the Vipers shouting in the distance as they get closer and closer to the city wall*

*i do a quick inventory of what weapons I have left. Two grenades left, two mags for my Eagle, a few batteries, my knives and the flashbangs* the biggest gun I had was the bazooka but I think I used up the last battery for it that I had.

*I get on the radio to Orwell and Wilson* Boys, I'm looking at the headcount, and we have a lot more than before. Do we have anything bigger in your arsenal? If we make a stand with normal fire arms they'll blow right through us.

*Aftermath radios me and I frown. He is right, from what I seen during and after the battle there is no way we would survive if we went in the way we did. I sigh when I realize that I have to call in /him/. I feel uneasy about the idea but I pull out my radio and call Hank Manson.* Hank? This is Orwell...

[In a sealed off chamber deep inside the tower] *I'm looking down into a large arena made of glass, one of the test subjects tries to jump to a nearby platform and falls to his death* Ouch... somebody clean that up, yeah? Note to self: Invent shoes that let you fall from great heights... NO! Put rockets in the shoes! *I get the radio broadcast from Orwell* Hello? Hello Hello? Hank here, Orwell, is that you? What can I do for you today? Need someone spliced to a rodent? Because i'm doing that as we speak!
[Test subject in the distance] Oh god! My... my legs! What... what is THIS?!
Ah, that'll wear off momentarily... I think.
