*After pointing Max in the right direction we stop outside of the Battery City wall. We are a hundred yards away from it, just enough space to give us room to move and keep an eye on it. Protecting it is key and as it is extremely high I am very doubtful anyone will try climbing it. My concern is if they try to destroy it. All the other units and back up spread out along the walls eastern perimeter as that is where all the fighting takes place. Several agents are on the walls edge, posted with automatic laser guns. I sit on the hood of a draculoid car and watch the scene off in the distance through a pair of binoculars. A cloud of dust slowly appears and begins to come our way. I notice several vehicles following it and grab my radio, warning all the other units to prep themselves for the upcoming attack. I turn to my unit.* This is it. Do not die. First person to kill a Viper gets a week off training. Person who kills one of the group leaders gets a raise. You kill Basilisk? Expect a pill induced high the rest of your life. That is how much I will pay you. *I grin and hop down off the car and remove my raygun from its holster.*

*The vipers cruise through the city streets which are now broken due to explosions and gunfire. They fire blindly out the side of the truck into houses and shops. The streets are stained red with nearly a hundred bodies piled up.*
Well... I never thought this would be enough to show them just what i'm thinking... Let's keep on making more... *Basilisk leans his head out the window and begins chucking grenades out recklessly into homes*

*i grab my gun and get to a spot where I can aim better. I flick the safety off, bring it to my shoulder, and wait for the right moment to fire*

*I move along the wall, not wanting to stay still. I don't have far to go before the first of the trucks come into view. I step up to the side of the road and the Vipers in the truck laugh maniacally at the sight of me there alone. The driver hits the gas and swerves towards me at top speed while the others egg him on; waiting until the last moment, I casually step to the side and the front bumper of the truck smashes into the fire hydrant I'd been standing in front of. Laughter turned to screams as the truck flipped completely over - I was rather surprised, actually. I didn't think they'd been going that fast. The first Viper to crawl out got a shot to the chest, knee, shoulder, and neck in quick succession; that last hit was successful and I made a mental note of it. The others were either dead or dazed, and I quickly worked my way through them.*
*Turning back to the road, I saw several more trucks approaching. Realizing I wouldn't be able to pull the same stunt twice, I ducked down an alley and jogged back to the team*
Three trucks on the way, more behind. Six - *I paused, counting in my head* No, seven dead so far. Seems to be average truckload.

*I don't know who's throwing grenades, but I shoot most of them before they can hit houses, making them explode in the midair. No one will harm civilians on my watch. I am tempted to go after actual vipers and win a raise, but this seems more important.*
((Can anyone here play for Angie today? I'm going to be occupied until a lot later.))

*Within minutes they draw near and Vipers lean out of the car windows, firing at us.* Everybody down! *I duck behind our vehicle as our line is pummeled with rapid gunfire. I hear a screech and I infer that some of the vehicles must have stopped. I motion for my team to move out and attack. I stand up and turn quickly, shooting twice, one beam burning a hole a windshield and the other going straight through and killing the driver. The car swerves and speeds past us, colliding with the wall. The wall is barely damaged and I shoot the one survivor of the crash who tries climbs out of the wreckage.*

*i prop my gun on top of the car to help me aim better and start firing at the oncoming vans. I manage to take out the tires on one of them and quickly duck to avoid the next round of gunfire*

*As the Convoy is met with BLI resistance, Basilisk steps out, wearing an armored Kobra suit, and holding an M60 LMG. His laughing is maniacal and the Vipers that step out are carrying similar weapons. The Vipers around Basilisk take special aim at the lone operative by the fire hydrant.*
*Basilisk fires randomly, not taking care to aim at anyone or anything.* What happens when Divine order is met with Pure insanity?? Hahahaha! *He takes the machine gun in one hand and begins chucking grenades with the other. The two trucks behind him stop and Vipers come pouring out. From the back of one of the trucks, a Dylan Mini-gun is latched*
*Mamba is on the Mini-gun, spinning it up.* Dis eez foh da people ov mah Islahnd!

*My first instinct is to run, cower in fear. The power of the Vipers is terrifying. I don't want to die. But then I feel rage blooming as the man speaks. He is the one who invaded the Tower and filled it with pesky snakes, making a mockery of our defenses! With boldness I didn't know I had, I step forward, easily into his line of vision, and shoot with both of my guns.* Nothing divine would touch you with a ten-foot-long pole, you absolute bastard!

*its safe to say that I am absolutely terrified right now. I try to calm myslef down, and for some reason my pictures appear in my head. I know Ryan is probably still in the tower and Static is out there somewhere. I can't let this man find a way to hurt either of them. I start firing at the vipers from behind the car, but I eventually step out to get a better shot*

*I curse when I see the Vipers and usher for my team to attack. I do not like the look of those machine guns. At all. I duck low and crouch/run between vehicles cursing even more when the windows to a car above my head are shot out. I stand up in a clearing to see that I am in nearer to a group of Vipers and they have their backs turned. I shoot them and they fall, then I drop to the ground again as a pair of their colleagues a bit further off turn. I resume my run between the maze of destruction, ignoring the mangled bodies and bloody pieces of human meat littering the ground. I climb on top of a car and stand, shooting point blank into the back of one Vipers head. I let off a round of beams at anyone else with in the area before sliding down the hood of the car as it is hailed with bullets.*

*I've spent the last fifteen minutes or so roaming the backstreets on the periphery of the battle. Nearly all the armored vehicles have been stopped or slowed by the teams farther up, but quite a few Vipers have taken off down various alleys in small groups or alone, hoping to get close to the tower. As far as I'm concerned, none have succeeded. I'm running low on batteries, though, so I head back in, looking for my team. Physically, I'm not too bad - relying on the element of surprise means that other than a few stray shots caught by my vest, I haven't taken any serious hits. It's hard to put up a fight when you take a shot to the face at twenty yards.*

*The mini-gun finishes spinning and begins spewing bullets forward at incredible speed. A high pitch screech spews from the gun, as opposed to the rat-a-tat-tat of the M60's held by Basilisk's squad. The mini-gun tears through building and light posts like a knife through butter. Mamba's laughter becomes almost identical to Basilisk's.*
Mamba, my dear boy, i believe this marks the greatest day in Viper history! *He takes special notice of the girl firing two guns in his direction. The blasts glance off the metal plating of his armor, leaving only black, burned marks. He stops firing his gun and approaches the girl, who is trembling slightly.* My dear. Why are you so afraid? *He orders his squad to focus on the other agents in the field and continues to march towards her, some blasts his perfectly and actually cause damage to the suit. He continues on anyways, inching closer and closer to her*

You don't scare me. You are merely an annoyance, a blemish on the face of the earth that I intend to remove! *I force myself to take another step forward. In truth, he does scare me. The thought of the dismembered bodies on the ground near his cell will haunt me forever. But I am NOT going to let the bastard get away with murder in MY home!*

*The first thing I see when I return to my team's general location is the woman, Pacis, facing off against what might be the leader of the Vipers. It's hard to tell, under all that armor. I stay under cover as I move towards the pair, and when I step out about twenty feet away the other Vipers leave me pretty well alone. I guess they know better than to aim for anyone the boss might possibly have plans for.*
*Stopping slightly behind the woman, I keep my gun loosely at my side.*
Basilisk, is it? I don't particularly like fair fights. No fun. So I'm going to lend a hand if you don't mind.
*I'm not sure why I'm talking so much, and write it off to adrenaline, though I don't feel especially worked up.*
