*Moodily sauntering through the desert I kick at a rock by a shrub. I stuff my hands further down into my pants pockets and sigh loudly. I hear an owl hoot somewhere. I stop and look up at the sky. I scrunch my face at the blinding sunlight. Not a cloud in the sky. I look around. Every direction is empty. Just a few mountains, rocks, a cactus and shrubs. The desert is so vast and empty it's easy to lose yourself here. Or find yourself. I probably should have said goodbye or offered some explanation before running off on Poison. But I couldn't do it. Not back to Battery City after I just escaped it's clutches. I thought I could but something in my gut just told me no. What was I thinking? I shouldn't have left Penelope and Murph either. Not very good mothership skills. I quickly shove these thoughts towards the back of my head. I take off my vest and hold it across my shoulder. The desert heat has me dehydrated and my canteen is nearly empty. I pull out my map and after a few mintutes of checking reference points I know I'm in Zone 4. And as I look around more closely I recognize the familiar landscape. I slight smile grows on my lips and I begin to head north.*

*A ramshackled, beat up old motel along side a cracked up highway in the middle of nowhere. Most of it's windows are shattered and boarded up. Mold grows in some of the rooms corners. Liquor bottles and cigarettes litter the stained carpet. A layer of dust clings to everything. I wipe my finger along the lobby counter, smile, and rub it off on my jacket.* Home sweet home. *I had sworn I'd never come back here yet here I am. I do a quick run through and check for any bugs SCARECROW may have planted when I was being hunted down. God that was forever ago. Also another memory that I shove back. Being with BLI has it's perks and using my knowledge I find an old technical bug. It's small and fragile so I stomp on it and kick some dirt over it burying it. This place brings back so many memories. I make my way towards the back supply room with a huge grin on my face.*

(Nice to hear from you AA! I'd gladly help out.) *I'm lounging in an old chair outside the motel. I flick the ash from my cigarette on to the ground and stare at the setting sun. A few days at my old place reminiscing and thinking has done good. Or at least I tell myself it has. It's a very nice night and I'm at peace. I chuckle though because I know that living out in the zones the peace is false and never lasts. Oh well. I stand up as the sun disappears behind the mountains and go back inside.*

*rb* *I laugh* I think we'll take you up on that. Fair warning, though, we've got most of the crow unit on our tail. Think you can handle a few dracs in copters if they show up on your doorstep?
