*I watch the girl, waiting for Faith to come back in. I'm starting to get bored. Maybe whatever news Faith is getting will interest me. I don't feel like reassuring the girl, and Faith would be displeased if I upset her, so I stay silent.*

*I look at the plate for a minute, unsure of whether or not I should eat it but the hunger overtakes my self control and I devour the plate* I still dont understand why I'm here. Maybe you can explain. If bli are so great, why my family?

*The drac leaves me in the sterile office. As soon as I am alone I get up from the chair and go to the window to stare out at the city. The buildings are gleaming, geometric perfections in the sun. Far below they are even installing a fountain. Everything seems so clean, so pure. This is the paradise I will protect, I think to myself. I wonder what could persuade people to run away from all this to the dangerous, dirty desert...*

An unfortunate but necessary task. You see, your parents were harbouring murderers and terrorists. They themselves participated in killing innocent people. Your father was, as it turns out, the mallside bomber in which 23 pedestrians and shop workers were mudered. Your mum was involved in the cityside school masacre in which 47 children were killed. *I sit down on the table, knowing that it was crow agents that were forced to kill those children in attempts to get to the terrorists inside. I feel Max 's eyes on me and give him a look to say lies are necessary sometimes* and this man *I hold out the photo again* is wanted for a host of crimes. Which is why it is important you tell me if you've ever seen him before. We have reason to believe he's planning something else. We dont want any more people getting hurt. Do you understand?

*I look from Faith to the girl. Faith's methods amuse me, and I'm hoping for some sort of comeback from the girl. She doesn't seem as tough as the killjoys I've encountered in the past, though, so my hopes aren't high.*
