My idea of flirting is much less rash. For the record, I don't make threats, I make promises. It's very rare I make a promise, but you're the type of person who can ruin relationships. I don't like your type, but you're a Killjoy, and I promised to protect every I could. However, I'm a utilitarian. Keep that in mind. *I start up the vehicle and slowly pull out. I radio everyone.* Here's the deal guys, we're gonna try to catch them on the way out. We're also going to try and take these bastards out. I'm sick of investigating, and I'm sick of running.

So you promised to kill me, then? Well. Point taken. In that case, I promise to make sure I stay alive a little longer. I am an expert in survival. You have no idea. And, for the record, you're no fun. *I recline a bit more. Fighting is, oddly enough, not the first thing on my mind when I think of things I want to do today. For once, I think I'd like to relax, get to actually know these people, have some good food, have some more sleep. Not go straight into the fray with my gun in one hand and knife ready to go. Fighting all the time is tiring.*

*rb* Do we even know where their base is?! When did that happen? *I'm still waiting to be told to go. I think I've been sitting here for about an hour, but time drags when you're having no fun at all. I'm trying to avoid the Aftermath Question and not doing so well, especially now that he's talking to me.* Well, where are we going?

*I wait slightly impatiently for the word to go with Volume. Standing around was not something I did unless it was to wait for someone to trigger one of my traps*

*When we get to the site, the almost-Exterminators branch out immediately. They don't seem surprised to see Delta there already, and the leader of the patrol walks over while the others start securing the area. I follow the first man, much less interested in looking at scuffs in the dirt and corpses than I am in listening in on the pair.*
*My bet is that this won't last much longer. So far as I can see, it's killing Delta to be stuck one step behind, and with the sheer number of deaths, it seems likely he could get pretty much anything approved so far as tracking went. The killjoys can figure out the clues or what have you; for once, I'm not all that keen on word games. And speaking of killjoys... where are they? Scared down their rabbit holes? Doesn't seem like their usual reaction, but I could have sworn there were at least two safehouses within twenty minutes of this site, and so far we're alone. Strange.*

((I will now pretend that the Killjoys got their butts in gear and started heading toward the kill site. If anyone has a problem like that, message me and I'll delete. I just figure this thing has been stagnant for weeks and we need to start it up again as well as we can.))
*I pull up to the kill site before Aftermath, which is a bit odd, although a short radio message from Daystar informs me that he had to stop the car to point his gun at her properly. Typical, I think as I step outside and head over to Vico. There are a bunch of city folk in nice white uniforms looking around the farm.* Sorry we're late. Aftermath wouldn't let me leave, and now he's off having a duel with Day off in the sands. Now's your chance to get stuff done without a rifle in your neck. *Mine too, I realize. I probably won't have more than a few minutes with my luck, so I hurry.* And I have an irrelevant question, when you have the time to stray off topic.

*I follow Volume over to Vico and give him a brief nod. Ally or no, I will never feel comfortable around one of the city's drones, not after what that blasted company did to my village and my people.*

*I flash a smile at Volume and the other one, nodding towards the windmill.* Pretty much the same as the others. Feel free to do your little riddling thing, if you still think they're giving you super secret instructions, but I don't think you have much time. The attacks have been getting closer together, and since this one is already a few hours old, there's no telling when the next one'll be.
*I pause to listen to the conversation next to me, nodding once at what I hear.* Sounds like we've got a security net spreading out as we speak. Monitored flycams, surveillance, the whole nine yards. Get ready to - how do you say it? Motor? Get ready to motor, because at the slightest disturbance we'll be out of here.

*I attempt to consider it for a moment and then just give up.* I've learned that my judgement is not worthwhile in the past few months. Wait for someone more qualified to read the trail. If I was going to say anything, it's that there's a song called Early Sunsets Over Monroeville from the group leaving us all these clues, which seems connected to Sunset Holiday. But unless there happens to be a Monroeville nearby, you're going to need to wait for Aftermath. *I run through details. Windmill (what else could you even call a windmill?) farm, charred skeletons. This tells me nothing. Sweet lady of sorrows, I am the worst Killjoy in the Zones.* We should probably be going now, if they're taking all the measures. I doubt security will take kindly to Killjoys, and I know one Killjoy who won't take kindly to security. *I feel my heart sink a little bit lower. I had one chance to ask my question and it's gone before the request registered. What else should you have expected, Volume?*

*I'm watching the search team wander about and pick through clues I've already looked into. I'm perched high above the ground, at the top of this rickety windmill, and I can see the Killjoys approaching way before the rest of the team can.*
We have visitors, *I call down to them* You will hold fire until I say otherwise. *My voice is sharp, forceful. They'd be daft to disobey such orders.*
*Volume approaches and I drop back to the ground from my vantage point, landing as delicately as a cat and probably scaring the everloving shit out of her. My smirk's hidden by my mask." What's that you were saying...about some song?
*Music never agreed with me....especially not anything a killjoy might be well-versed in. But looking at the words wouldn't hurt too badly. And maybe I could puzzle this fucker out and spill enough blood to make us even.

It's probably nothing. Just a title that rang a bell, with the word "Sunset" in it. Not anything of note, I'm sure. More than likely a coincidence. *Delta's sudden appearance startles me. I was certainly not expecting him to fall from the sky. I wonder if he's always so...different.* Anyway, we probably shouldn't interfere with your investigation. We can't really provide much help. I mean, your people have all the toys. We just have musical knowledge, which I doubt is going to help all that much. Can't usually find a gang by singing the right song.

*I stay near Volume as she talks with Delta. I'll be damned if Aftermath found out I let her get hurt or captured before he arrived.*

*I pull up to a high area far from any watching eyes, hidden behind the heat and the thin layer of sand carried away by the wind. I sit for a couple of seconds gazing at the sky before opening the door and letting myself out. I take a deep breath off the "fresh" air (As fresh as radiation air comes) while checking out my surroundings.* Okay, fantastic. *With a smile I lean into the car and grab my binoculars. Closing the door behind me and climbing onto the roof of my car I sit and start to observe.*
*I found the windmill I over heard the Dracs talking about quite easily and spot the Patrol dotted about and around it. I'm shocked to see the Killjoys actually working with Bli but I'm more shocked when I see the bodies. Including the ones perched up... I wonder what it means, the 'Joys seem to have more of a clue.* Very... Intresting.
