*I smile slightly before realising Boot has gone completely quiet. I spin around and see him gazing out the window, motionless* Hey, come on. Come away from there...
Do you think anyone else made it out of the city?
*His whole attitude has changed. I take a step back, slightly surprised* I don't know. We can't be thinking about that now *I turn back to the newcomers* He's still kinda shell shocked. We were caught in a fire fight

*I look over at Boots staring out the window then back at Cotton* Ah I see....fire fights are always the worst....*I trail off not wanting to ask about it*

*I get boots back into the bed* still standing I'm afraid. We were lucky to get out alive. *I turn back to Boots* Rest now. We'll get you home soon. *I turn to cotton and the others* We'll be out of your way soon. I need to get him out of the war path and I've missed the bowling alley. *I sit down beneath the window* Where are you guys going?

The alley? You don't happen to mean Lucky Strikes do you? *I lighten up a bit at the sound of someplace familiar.*
*I glance at Grizzly then back at Skeets. I know now where I know him from, he was one of Bunny's friends...* Umm to be honest we have no idea where we're headed, he just left our safe-house back in Zone 6, so I guess we're just wondering the Zones for now....

Lucky Strikes, that's the one. I'm the manager.... well...owner now I guess. *I quickly shift the focus back to them* How long have you been travelling? must be a while. I might do that myself once I get that useless lump out of immediate zones. Besides, he has a job too do. Beyond that well....

It's been awhile since I've been there, had some good times in that place *I look at the ground and grin slightly*
We actually travel all the time. We don't like staying in one spot for to long, ever since our safe-house was ambushed awhile back we barley even stay there. *I look over at Acid who has gone quiet and notice he's already asleep I laugh slightly* We've been on the road for the past couple weeks straight though, we didn't have time to find a descent place to stay at. Then we stumbled upon this place.

Well you can stay here for the time being *I overhear the last bit of the conversation* I like to keep moving too. I've been here several weeks now. I'll need a new van for all the meds though. Gonna need them. *I walk to the window* The patrol should have well passed. We can stop using the reserves. Gash, can you help me put on the full power again? And you too *I point at skeets and panda* can put him in the first bed in the next room

He was quiet throughout this whole conversation. What was he suppose to do? Hey! Sorry we lost contact, I needed to find myself on my own....yeah that will sit well. She must of been worried bout him...Nice going...Cotton spoke and he shook his head "Yeah sure...um..." bouncing on his feet like a nervous kid "lead the way, I guess." He started to head for the door.

We could help you find a van if you like, I have a car parked just outside of town *I get up and nudge Acid with my boot, he doesn't stir so I fling his right arm over my shoulder and lift him up as Skeets does the same with his left.*Haha I swear he sleeps all the time and when he's awake he's a pain in the ass.

* I use the torch down the stairs, being careful to skip the third step from the bottom. The large generator sits on the wall opposite. I put in the crank. We both take our positions* Ready? And Push!

Other than smile once in a while? *I catch my breath* No, that is all for now. Can't say the newcomers won't need you for one thing or another. I'm gonna bring up some food. Make sure they don't steal my meds. I don't mind if they need it but they are hard to come by*I call back upstairs* Why is your car outside the city?

He stops smiling. "Yeah...um sure..." walks back up stands by the door and takes in a deep breath. Hears Skeets comment "As a healthy human being should be...." He just blurted out, and felt a little sorry and hesitant...He mumbled an apology and headed over to check on Boots.

Yes, I'm still running - sort of. But it is lonely out here. Haven't seen anyone else for a while.
