*i actually jump slightly in the chair at the larger dose and m eyes now are tinged a deep red color with the black. Looking around the room in the dark I can still see everything fairly clearly, almost as easily as I could see with the light* this is crazy

*Doctor Bailey frowns, watching the progress of the scan. At her comment he glances up and squints through the darkness* What's crazy?

I can see. Not as clear as I would be able to with the lights on but I can still see. *i look around the room, the red in my eyes glowing eerily*

Facinating... *Bailey says again, momentarily forgetting the scan and watching Bauman's eyes glow in the darkness. Then he jumps slightly and turns around, rummaging through the cabinets by the wall. After a few seconds he finds a slightly battered eye chart, pinning it up on the far wall and pointing to the third line of letter from the bottom* Can you read these letters?

Excellent! And I'm assuming the other two lines are equally clear? This is wonderful, Miss Bauman, it really is! Here I thought we were dealing with unusual but basically simple color change. But if your vision itself is affected - what an advance this could be, if we can find a way to contain and safely administer the condition! *the doctor powers down the equipment when the scan is completed, and steps back over to the light switch.*
I'm going to turn the lights on now. Hopefully the brightness won't be painful - let me know how quickly your eyes adjust.

*he flips the lights back on and I blink once or twice and my vision is back to normal* they adjusted almost immediately, with little to no pain or discomfort

Good, good! All right, I think I'll let you go for now... the results from those scans will keep me busy for some time, and I see we already have your bloodwork on file so there's no need to take a new sample. *He starts shutting down the equipment, and puts the eye chart away* Oh, one question - you have employment history here, yes? Do you remember if this vision alteration was present then, or did it develop outside the city?

I don't think the vision alteration itself wasnt discovered until after my... Unexpected departure from the city and I was taken back into the Zones. *i hop out of the chair and start for the door* thank you Doctor Bailey, and have a Better day. *i walk out of the room and swallow my pills as I do so*
