*I take out my other gun as Retro slides across the floor and fire at one of the vipers shooting at her. It goes off with a BANG and I am hit with the strong recoil. I look at the gun, confused, then remember that it is a traditional viper gun, not an electric one. The viper I shot stands back up, a dent in his armor. I begin to aim for another shot when my vision starts to go black again. I lean over, hands on my knees, and to wait for the dizziness clear. Now would not be a good time to black out.

*With in one smooth motion I jump back up quickly and grab her by her waist as she begins to fall while shooting the Viper a few times. A bullet skims my leg and I cry out, spinning and shooting at a Viper who had appeared from the doorway. Both of the Vipers fall dead to the ground and I look at Red, shaking her slightly.* Come on girl. You have to stay awake. *I hear worry in my voice and quickly try to hide it.*

*We're walking down one of the corridors when I see shadows of about 10 vipers coming round the corner, I quickly grab Blackie by her arm and pull her into one of the rooms and cover her mouth* Shhh... *I point at the door when they all run pass* Ready? Now. *We burst out the room and start shooting them*

*I feel someone grab me, the Retro's voice. Both sensations seem far away and blend with the bullets and shouts. I shake my head and everything comes back. I suspect only the pills are keeping me awake at this point, but they are also keeping me alive, so I can't complain*
*I grab Retro's shoulder for support and begin shooting again, getting used to the recoil after the third bullet. The corridor starts to clear, so I motion that we should move deeper into the base*

*i start firing with both my guns, and soon the smell of gunpowder coming from my Eagle makes my nose and eyes itch. Most of the vipers fall before they can even turn around to shoot us*

*I help her a long and together we shoot at anyone who comes within sight. As we go deeper the corridors change in size, sometimes going through a tight tunnel and coming out into a larger ones. Without much confrontation we finally make it to one of the main corridors and when we walk out of our tunnel we're met by a large group of Vipers. We all just turn and stare at each other for a moment before all hell breaks loose and we all reach for our guns.*

*I hear gun shots and laser shots further into the base* You hear that? Let's go. *I reload my raygun and start running towards the sounds of gun fire, looking behind me to make sure Blackie's still with me*

*I shoot a few more times at the remaining vipers and follow Bullet. I hardly feel the pain in my leg from all the adrenaline running through me right now, and I'm able to keep up with Bullet*

*I manage to shoot down the Vipers with Morand's help, though I have several narrow avoidances in the close quarters and get a decent graze across my left arm. I follow the sounds of fighting up ahead and take several more turns, only encountering a few Vipers who are easily put down. Not all have armor on, and the ones that don't are easy targets*

*I see that I am slowing down Retro, so I push away from her and roll between several vipers. There is something to be said for being small. I see an abandoned viper gun and I grab it when I spring up. Now I have one for each hand. I fire as fast as I can, but they force me out into an huge old hallway that is ill lighted. I can just see Retro through the fighting.

*As we progress the halls begin to deteriorate, and I'd guess that we're moving into areas that weren't rennovated by whoever occupied the sprawling building last. The gunshots get louder ahead, and I step out into a broad hallway full of Vipers; only about half of the ceiling lights are working and I can barely see what's going on. I start shooting, using the corner I'd just stepped around as cover*

*The viper's armor plates clash as they try to crowd me. I'm having trouble aiming. I take down two, but there are plenty more. One swipes at me with a sword and I duck and roll again, but fall short and end up crashing into a viper. The man falls on top of me and I quickly break his neck, using his body as a shield against the rest. Now, however, I'm down on the ground with nowhere to go. I try to shoot from under the drac, but yelp in pain when one kicks the gun out of my hand. The world threatens to go dark again and I have to concentrate to keep concious. I feel armored hands close around my ankles. Oh no*

*There's a disturbance to one side and I look over just as a girl disappears from view in a crowd of Vipers. It's the girl who helped me earlier, and I tell myself it's just concern for a fellow draculoid that makes me leave my spot and run down the hall.*
*I've found the most effective way of disabling the Vipers other than killing them is to break their wrists, so as I fight my way over to the girl I alternate between that and shots to the face. As the dead Viper is shoved to the side and another man grabs her ankles I kick out as hard as I can, sending the latter crashing into another Viper and landing on the floor. There's a door a short distance away and I pick up the girl and run to it. I know I'm probably jostling her too much, but I don't have time to be careful.*
