Just realizin' this now, dear? I have been this whole time. You're just waking up. And I assure you when I'm fighting...it gets much better! As in worse. Besides. Its fun to watch you squirm. I'm sure your little girlfriend likes needling ya too. But I'm reminding you of her far too frequently! I should have thought of that! Feel lucky that you two are the cutest couple I've seen in a while.

I don't know if i would call us a couple... she never really... made it official... *I sigh* She acts like i'm a freak sometimes. So i'm still unsure... it's like she thinks i'm gonna... lick her or something weird like that... She's just... new to this... i guess

Well...that is certainly a situation...that a person new to the world of adults would not enjoy... Might not want to try that on her. *giggles awkwardly* And we must not have finished with the envy plot then. She was mad at me, and you got your...whatever that scene in the storage was. But if she's not falling all over you it hasn't worked!

*RB* To any killjoy or BLI agent in the area, move out. We are attacking the Viper base and their leader, Basilisk. The Tower will be broadcasting location updates, so keep your radios on and your guns raised. Wilson out.

RB: We have backup units that can keep everyone safe unil our return. The tower will alert me if anything major happens. Ok...the fly cams have located you. We're coming your way. Stay put!
*We quickly make our way over to Aftermath. No one complains, but I can tell that they are hurting. Aerith, of course, is fine and skips along next to me. I know this fight will have to be fast if anyone is to survive... I spot Aftermath and wave a greeting I don't really feel. He flips me off back. Fair enough*

*I'm getting tired again as we meet up with the killjoys. I lean against a large piece of rubble as we come in sight of Aftermath. The world starts to dim for a second and I shake my head, glad all the others are ahead. I take a few more pills, but I can tell they're not working as well anymore. I'll just rest a few more moments and then I'll be fine...*

*The urge to follow the BLI group out of the city is nearly overwhelming. All of my friends are out there, and I'll be the only one staying here. If I die here, it will be alone, as I had always feared. I would die with no one to care or cry or realize that I am dead. And the thought breaks my heart after being not alone for so long.
But I know what I have to do.
And, resolutely, I stand at the wall of the plastic city as most of the others leave me to myself. I face my highly probable death alone.*

*Wilson says to partner up and I immediately cringe. I hate partners. Looking around I see the group already pairing off and then I see Red. I'm surprised she's still here and wasn't sent back with Orwell when medical arrived. I walk over to her and realize she looks exhausted. Even after she pops a few pills she doesn't look much better. Very concerning considering we're about to go back into the intense fighting. I hesitantly put my hand on her shoulder.* Come on kiddo. Next wave is up. Look alive.

*I look up at Retro and nod, then slowly get up. I follow her to the group, checking the batteries on my BLI gun and the bullets on my viper one. The bleeding on my hands has stopped for the most part, so now I can grip either properly. I holster the viper gun. I know the BLI version better*
