You have no idea how many times I have heard that one. *I turn and begin walking back to camp. I do not look back but only call over my shoulder.* Have a Better day Mr. Aftermath! I hope to be seeing you soon.

*i whisper under my breath* I really don't know what he meant by that... at least we have hope for this... *I walk back to the rig and hop in, then make the long journey back to Zone 2. I make sure to check that no one is following me, just in case.*

*i pace slightly as the group waits for Orwell to return. I quickly swallow another pill, I should ask for something stronger when we get back to the tower to help me stay calm and not be so jittery*

*I'm confused as to why I'm here when I have another assignment, but, the way I see it, the present is more important that figuring out what happened in the past. I'm floating on a cloud of medication-induced bliss and I hope that we'll have an opportunity to take some more of those poor, deprived Killjoys into the city with us.*

*I return later than I wanted but they still seem to be hard at work, except for maybe Mahoney. Something about her has been off lately.* Have you found any useful transmissions? *All I hear from the white radio is static and maybe bits of dialogue.*

*I nod acknowledging, liking his summary of transmissions and airwaves. I pause and look at each one of them before I suddenly clap my hands together.* Sorry to cut this zone patrol short but something very important has arisen and we need to deal with it as soon as possible. The sooner we get back to the tower the better, Wilson and the others must be warned of a imminent attack. By a group called 'The Vipers'. I am sure they are not as dangerous as rumored but nevertheless, I would rather the appropriate methods of security were put in place. Pack up everything and lets move out.

Yes sir. *i realize I'm fiddling with the safety on my gun and I try to stop, I don't want it to seem like I'm not focused or fooling around. I quickly go and help to pack up*

Of course, sir. *I begin gathering everything I am able to carry and taking it to the van, wondering where he got his information. It certainly wasn't over the radio waves...maybe he had a contact? But it doesn't matter; if he has information that could possibly prevent Better Living and the civilians from danger, it makes no difference where it came from.*

*They begin to pack up and I walk in front of the van. The sun is starting to set over the desert and everything is colored or cast in shadow. Personally I like the shadow look much better. I fold my arms and think about upcoming events. I should not be too worried about it, they only are zone rats anyways. I even consider for a moment of sending my team after Incendiary Aftermath. I decide not too, he is not really worth it and we should be meeting again soon enough and I have other things on my mind. Like Mahoney's progressing jitteriness or Pacis's... emotional disturbances on the job. I noticed they both have been less confident in the company lately. I should upgrade both of their prescriptions soon before they go rogue.* Hurry it up, daylight is burning quickly. The zones are not recommended for a late night stroll.

Yes, sir. Of course, sir. *I slip into the driver's seat for lack of other people who seem about to, wait for everyone to load into the van, then begin to drive off at a speed that's slow enough to stay within the law but also fast enough to get us back to the city before it becomes pitch-black outside.*

*i swallow a few more pills to try to help myself relax, I've been feeling way too jittery lately, and I don't like how it's starting to get in my way of being able to do my job*

*I sit in the passenger seat, leaned forward, elbows resting on my knees and my fingertips pressed together. I scowl and barely pay attention to our journey back to the city, instead deep in thought. I do not get any wifi in the desert otherwise I could pull up any files we have on this Viper group. The killjoy seemed scared by them and that does not really concern me but any more projects gone wrong and all of Wilson and I's hard work will have been for naught. Our reputation is growing but it is sitting on a fine line, one ill incident and we may as well be draculoids ourselves. I look up and see we are nearing the city limits.* Stop at the city toll please. I want them to close off all the gates after calling in all patrolling units.

Understood, sir. *I slow down before reaching the toll, then come to a dead stop. This situation almost worries me and I wonder how serious a threat this actually is if the city must be closed down. I don't worry so much, though. Better Living Industries will always prevail.*

*I climb out of the vehicle and flash my badge at the guard on duty. I am admitted into their toll booth and take a quick look at the history of whom they have let into the city recently. I use my new authority to cancel all previous orders and call any zone patrols back into the city. I tell the guards to close off everything as soon as possible. I climb back into the passenger seat and slam the door.* Back to the tower please Miss Pacis. *I look in the back and look at my unit.* Morand, would you care to accompany me to the training facility to gather Wilson and Red Havoc? Last I knew they were training. I would like you to meet you other boss and coworker before things become serious and we no longer have the time.

*Without a world, I maneuver the vehicle back to the garage in the Tower and park it. Everyone gets out, and Mr. Orwell and Morand go off on their own while everyone else makes their way back to whichever various stations they were at before going out. I head back up to the room with the feeds, continuing on from the strange glitch this time. I will inform my superiors of the glitch when I am done with the assignment.*
