*I laugh with the others, loosening up a bit. Oscar nudges me with his elbow*
Think about it, Flame, a perfect BLI agent would be someone who is able to fool a killjoy into trusting them. Then all she'd have to do is wait for us to bring her to a safe house or go on a mission and it's all over for us.
*The more I look at her the more evil she seems. I wonder how anyone could stoop so low and I feel a bit sick with disgust. That thing deserves it, whatever we decide to do to her. Slink was just complaining about how he hadn't seen a girl for weeks...*
...
*I shake my head vigorously and bring my legs into my chest, sitting up as best I can. My elbow stings from where it caught a shelf on the way down. The killjoys tower above me, leering. Their eyes are saturated with hate*
*I'm helpless. I know it and they know it. I make one last attempt at a peace offering by holding out my hands, trying to show them I don't mean any harm. I wish I had remembered to bring my notepad and pen, but they probably would have just torn it up anyway...*

*I chuckle when I see her shake her head* Aw, she's shy! *I put my hands on my knees, bending down so I'm at her eye level* Don't worry, sweetheart, we don't bite! Too hard, anyway.
You're scaring her, Slink! *My tone isn't nearly as friendly as my words. All those needle marks on the kid's arms... I wonder if there's any human blood left. Wouldn't be surprised if it's all medication and morphine by now.* I bet she's never seen a real live killjoy, one that's not dead or strapped down. Lucky day, then, drac! You get a new experience, five times over!
Four times. *I lean against the shelves, watching. Outwardly I'm relaxed, but really I just want to send my boot into the brat's stomach. I always wondered what dracs looked like when they were young. Turns out it's no different. Apparently my team and I have different ideas regarding drac management, though. My tastes run more along the lines of knives and broken bones. There's time for that later, though.* Hurry up and have your fun, will you? If there's a patrol missing the kid, we don't want to stay here too long.
*I stand up straight and salute, somewhat mockingly, but not enough to piss him off* Sir yes sir, Captain sir! *Then I turn back and grin down at the drac* You heard him, boys! *Gauge is the first to step forward, grabbing her wrists and pulling her arms up over her head so she's lying flat on the floor. He looks like he's trying not to touch the needle tracks. Flame is the next over, which surprises me a bit since he's new to the group, and Oscar's close behind, holding his knife against the drac's throat to keep her from trying anything. He creeps me out a bit, but I don't comment. If Captain says he can stay, he can stay.* Righto, chaps. Shall I do the honors?

*I struggle until I feel the knife press against my throat, not quite believing what is about to happen. I thought the stories they told BLI kids about killjoys were false, isn't that what Arson said? Then why is this happening? Would it hurt? Would I survive?*
*One gives me a light kick in my healing side, making me whimper. Another bends down and starts taking off my shoes, grinning. I want to close my eyes, but I feel so vulnerable my training keeps my eyes open. Maybe if I just pretend I'm somewhere else, like when Wilson would put me in a cold room*
*Max, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. Where are you?*

*As I pull the motorcycle up to the curb in front of the theater and get off, I see Max appear around the corner. He still makes me uncomfortable, but I try not to show it.* We've found a likely place in Zone 5. Let's get Nack and Red and head out; the sooner we leave the theater the better, and we can radio the others our new coordinates when we get there.

*I was walking the perimeter when I heard the motorcycle approach, and when I get back to the front I see one of the female killljoys and the one with goggles getting off. I nod to his suggestion; I'm just as eager to leave. I walk back inside without a word, finding the orange-haired killjoy sitting on the side of the stage, tinkering with something.* We're leaving. Go to the front.
*He - or she - nods, looking intimidated, and hurries to join the female killjoy, who's waiting by the door. The other one follows me back; he goes to the sleeping rooms, while I start in the kitchen. I frown when I don't find her there, and as I step back out I see the killjoy leaving another room. I start towards the costume storage area, a bit concerned. I didn't think she'd go wandering the theater.* Red?

*My unease grows as I check one room after another with no sign of the girl. I hear Max calling for her some distance off, and he almost sounds worried. I am too, though for a different reason. I don't want a crow - even an ex-crow - poking around a safehouse unsupervised. The others seem to think she's harmless, and I agree in that I don't think she'd do harm purposefully, but I still don't trust her to stay out of mischief. Ten minutes later I'm climbing up to check the cat walks, though there's almost no chance she managed to get up there on her own. Max has reappeared on the stage by the time I get back down* She's not here.

*I hear the note of accusation in the killjoy's voice, but I don't pay it any attention. Where is she? She wouldn't have just left, unless - but then I get a sinking feeling. She didn't like being injured, didn't like feeling useless. I doubt she ever had a day off under Wilson's care, excepting hospital time. So what would she do if she was left here, knowing there was no food?* She's in the town, *I say, walking quickly past the killjoy and towards the back theater exit.* She's looking for food. I'm starting south.

She's what?! *Max is already gone, though, disappearing down the hallway, and I turn and run back up the aisle to the front, swearing to myself* Damn it. I guess I'll go north, then.
*Moon and Nack are still by the doors, and I pause long enough to tell them to either stay put or start looking for Red, whichever they'd rather do.* Stay in a half-mile radius, and take a radio and a gun if you go. She can't have gotten far, and we don't want to lose each other as well.
*Outside, I jump back on the bike and take off, roaring away down the road. I made note of three possible convenience stores and groceries on our way to the theater the first time; I'll start with those. I swear, if this goes badly...*

((I'm extremely sorry guys. I haven't been posting for like forever? but school'd pressure is extremely huge))
[In Zone 5]
*I follow Gear inside, looking at it all around* be careful, Gear... It might collapse, no one knows. I'm sure that there are killjoys around the outer zones, we're here, you know. Some of them might come around looking for safehouses like we're doing now so don't lose hope. Let's keep on searching, we will find a safehouse and some killjoys soon, trust me this time. Okay, the first one who gets to the motorcycle gets the front seat! *I start running while saying this*

(It's fine - we totally understand! You might want to reread the recent posts on the thread, though; I wasn't sure when you were going to get on next, so I sped through the safehouse hunt. We're back at the theater; Max and Gear just took off to look for Red, and you and Nack are still inside but can start looking as well if you'd like)
*The first grocery is hardly more than an indoor farmer's market - or would be, if there was anything left - and it only takes a few seconds to confirm that Red's not there. I squeeze on the brakes as I ride up to one of the convenience stores, and as I set the kickstand and jump off I'm surprised to see a car parked just around one corner of the building. I take a moment to jog over, and find that it's covered in paint (flames, stars, rayguns, and cartoon skulls for the most part) and seemingly random decals and bumper stickers. I'm relieved; if there are killjoys here, they might have seem something. And regardless of that, they might know where we can get supplies.*

*My tension builds as I move through the streets. Down one, checking likely stores, up the alley, down the next, nothing here, up the next alley, over and over and no sign of Red. She shouldn't be this hard to find. A voice in the back of my head whispers that Wilson's already got her back, that she's on her way to the city and Manson's lab even as I wander the ghost town looking for her, but I know that doesn't make sense. There's no reason for Wilson to know she's out here, and if he found her, he wouldn't leave without a full-scale raid to pick up myself or any killjoys nearby.*
*But where is she?*

(oh! I always read the posts before I do any move around) It's good to be back to the theater.... *I feel kind of uncomfortable saying this since Red is missing and I look at Nack* I will go help looking for her. *I grab my raygun* I'll be back in a while. I really hope to find her.

*I walk through the front doors, following the sound of voices and laughter to the back room. All the shelves I pass are bare, but maybe if they found anything back there they’d let me take a can or two. I haven’t eaten in nearly 24 hours, and neither have any of the others; a bit of food would be great.*
*In the back storage room I can see movement from the second aisle down, and call out as I approach* Killjoy incoming, don’t shoot! Just passing through, and wondered if you’d - *I stop dead when I get to the end of the aisle, staring in disbelief at the scene in front of me. Red’s on the floor, a knife at her throat and two killjoys holding her down, while another leans against the shelves and a fifth – is he starting to undo his belt? Any thoughts of supplies fly from my mind, and my gun’s out in an instant.*
What the fuck do you think you’re doing? Let her go, now!

*I step forward, one hand on my holster, but don’t draw my gun. I smile easily at the newcomer* Chill, motorbaby. The boys are just having some fun with a drac. *Slink glances over at me, and I wave him on before moving over to the new killjoy.* Put your gun away, we’re all killjoys here. What do you need, food? There’s some scattered about here; we can spare a few cans, we have more in the car. Name’s Captain.

*I'm pulled back to reality when I hear Gear's voice. Most of him is blocked by the others, but I believe he'll get me out of this. I have to. The younger killjoy finishes taking off my shoes and another moves closer. I hear the clink of a belt buckle and I panic, forgetting about the knife at my throat and kick upward, catching the young killjoy in the chin. He falls backward, cursing, his hand covering his mouth*
*I laugh as Flame gets kicked. Kid has to learn somehow. Still, the drac has to be punished. I quickly slap her across the face to disorient her and then make a slit across her cheek, holding the bloody knife up so she can see it* Now, now, now, you didn't really mean to do that, did you?
