*I slide over sideways when the van suddenly accelerates, and am rather irritated by how hard it is to push myself back up when my hands are cuffed. Once I do, I brace myself against the wall and try to look over the back of the seats to see what's going on - all I can see is the top of the occasional tree flash by. Although my first thought is that Arson and Stellar have somehow caught up to us, I realize that's not likely* Looks like things are getting interesting...

*I nod at Max. Just like training. The world turns crisp as Max swerves and I notice everything from the scars on Max's wrists to the small scrapes on my BLI issue gun. I take off my seatbelt and brace with my legs, ignoring the fact that this strains the stitches in my side. My hand reaches out for the door handle, ready to go the moment the car stops*

*After jolting over the uneven ground for a distance of maybe one hundred feet, we come to a stop. I swing my door open and stand behind it, aiming over the top of the door at the approaching vehicles*

*I see the car stop and both Max and Red appear, faster than any of our dracs. I'm amazed by how coordinated they already are. It only took a couple weeks. I'm convinced now that BLI could use them more than ever now. I swerve to a stop and jump out with the first wave of dracs, firing from both hands. So far, each side has only managed glancing blows*

*When my first few shots fail to take out any of the dracs, I realize Orwell and Wilson have actually managed to make progress in the training of their team... this could be rather more difficult than I anticipated. I start slowing down, firing quick double-shots; once directly towards my target and then again slightly to one side, anticipating their response. I'm rewarded almost immediately when two of the dracs hit the ground, but then the others start changing their patterns.*

*I quickly follow Wilson out of the van and I lock the van door once Angie gets out, just in case. I see Max and I raise my rifle, I don't plan on missing this time*

*I stand on the footboard with the door partially open, shooting in the oppisite direction Max is. I get three in a row when a group tries to storm our car, but most of my shots serve to just keep them at bay. I stamp down my panic, cold tendrils going up my spine, when I spot Wilson. Now I know for sure that Max and I are worse than dead if we get captured*

*I recognize these two. They used to be part of the unit. I'm hesitant to shoot at them like I shot at the Killjoys, and aim for their legs with every shot, hoping to knock them down. Nothing hits, and I get very impatient, beginning to move my guns around. I get clipped by one of the older one's lasers in my arm, which was uncovered without my normal shirt. It stings badly, and I start to favor my other hand.*

*I get out of the van more slowly than the others. Max and Red are good. And they are npt happy we have found them yet again. The likelyhood of us getting close enough to take them out is slim. They are good shots and I see Draculoid 002642 go down next to me. I open up the passenger door again and dig around the glove compartment. The anaesthetic grenade is gone. Someone did not pack the vehicle like required. I roll my eyes and pull out my gun. I step next to Wilson and fire a few shots towards Max.*

*The battle is pretty even, which bothers me. Time to change tactics. I radio Mahoney and Pacis*
Drac van 2 should be empty. I want one of you to cover for the other. Start the van straight towards Max and Red, then jump out. Let's break up their standoff.

*I'm clipped a few times, but the new BLI jacket damps down most of the force of the shots and I'm just left with a few burns. Red and I are so far managing to stand our ground pretty well, but when we're outnumbered this badly we need to do better than that. I start focusing my shots towards Wilson and Orwell, hoping the lower-ranking crows will try to defend them and open themselves up as targets*

*I hear Wilson's transmission and nod, knowing full well that he can't see me. I pulls Mahoney out of the battle and direct her to the driver's seat of the van. It leaves me to cover her, making me the target. Fine with me.*

*There is another van off to my left and I duck low and run for it. I hope to draw enough attention that Pacis and Mahoney are able to do what they need. Max shoots a laser dangerously close to my head but I slide in the dirt and behind the van.*

*Angie pushes me over to the van and I hop into the driver's seat. I start the van and floor it towards Max and Red, ready to jump out when I have to*
