Oh, right. Um...yeah, sorry I'm such a mess. I've had my hideout burned down by an exterminator, so ya know, I've had no time to clean up *I laugh awkwardly. Surprisingly, my vocal chords haven't seized up like they normally do when I'm around other people*

It's fine, I'm a mess aas well *it was true, my clothes were a little tattered, covered in blood and dirt* I've been on the run for about two days so I had no way of cleaning up either

Not entirely, I'm not sure where safe would be *I look around the basement and a shudder ran down my back. I hated basements but I've had to hide in them for so long just to escape any fights*

I'd feel better if we checked the whole building...*I limp towards the stairs. I can see she is uncomfortable, and to tell the truth, so am I. Being in basements makes me feel like I'm buried alive* Oh, and do you have any weapons?
