Too bad you're not on the west coast - a couple of us have tentative plans for comicon next year, and a meetup in the spring/summer in the desert! I'm in Washington, personally.

C-Comicon? *0* Dude, I'm trying to make it out to AX, and I have two ties to California. Maybe I'll see you guys there? That'd be amazing. I cosplay, along with my group of friends, so we're really lame. But we're cosplaying the Fabulous Killjoys soon! So I'm excited for that.
@rebel - I requested you, I think. I hope! Otherwise some poor girl must be really confused.

If you're in the midwest, hit me up and we can go to Seattle then down to SDCC together. (that's just how good of friends we all are lol)
@nack, haven't seen it yet but it may be a few before it pops up.

Typing forever is one of my favorite things to do. I don't care how long you type, NACK, since you don't type like one of those w31rd0s.
I suggested NACK being a boy because when I was reading your first post, I had the image of this quiet, somewhat overwhelmed boy in my head hiding in a dark house with nothing but a radio, talking very softly and not at all sure what he was doing.

@retro - That'd be amazing. I've never been to Cali. I heard it's amazing, though! Also! Next time there's an MCR concert somewhere around us, we should totally go. Because. I have never been to a concert. Ever.
@stellar - That's so cool! What an awesome image! I'll work on developing him/her/most likely him.

My imagination tends to be very specific.
I can't wait to see what NACK ends up being.

Meh, Honda Civic tour doesn't look like a good one for a first show... super expensive, very large arena-style, and no chance whatsoever of meeting the band

Loooooost. But hiya, Nack! Welcome to the cult forum! (We're not really a cult.) And also welcome to Stell again. Please just call me Volume. Or Vol. Or Virus. Because "Volume Virus" is waaaay too long a name. Hence, I come up with random nicknames for everyone. Even if their normal names are short and the nicknames are longer...yeah...but, again, hello and welcome!

"Volume Virus" has the same syllables as "Synesthesia". Snazzy.

Do you actually have synesthesia, Stell? I don't, but I kinda wish I did because it sounds awesome. Like, every piece of music ever is like your own personal light show. SHINY.

I don't actually have synesthesia; I just love how it sounds. I have thing where my brain cooks up pictures to go with words or my thoughts, but that's not a medical issue. That's me having an active imagination.
No spectacular medical issue here, but I imagine it's more annoying than cool.

I suppose I have mild synesthesia, in that music looks different shades of light and dark to me. I don't usually get colors, though. Although a notable exception is that Blue (Da Ba Dee) sounds dark blue with flashes of bright greens and yellows.

Any time someone says "button-up" or "button-down" when describing a shirt (as an example), it's that action that plays in my head.
Associations and synesthesia are fascinating ideas, for sure.
