*I watch One Shot and Red Havoc leave the meeting, a little frustrated by Jonathon's reaction. They were a powerful pair and I had several studies I wanted to do on the two. Oh well, all in good time. I look to my tech support and they give me the all clear. I take the tracker with me to Orwell's meeting. He'll be angry by my absence, but that should be counterbalanced by my little project... As I enter all the faces are grim. Naturally I smile*

*I quickly sit back down once Orwell starts talking again*

*I see him finally enter. I want to ask him where he has been but I do not have time and it would be inappropriate to have in front of our unit.* Ah. And here is Mr. Wilson. Would you care to give your speech now? *I usher to the podium and take a seat.*

*I move to the front and set the tracker on the table, then clear my throat*
"A great martial artist once said, 'Adapt what is useful, reject what is useless, and add what is specifically your own'. As we are Battery City, we must always be ready for a killjoy attack, and from each one we must grow stronger and smarter. What you see before you is a reciever tracking the Fact News announcer. I cannot tell you where the tracker is located, only that soon the tracker will stop moving. Using the renouned tactics of our own Jonathon Orwell, we will strike and show the killjoys what it really means to destroy a home. The citizens of Battery City are helpless without us and we must be their heroes"
"I agree with Mr. Orwell's restructuring and training of our Crow unit and hope you do too. Do not hesitate to contact me at any moment. From here on out we are all a team".

*I listen to his speech silently, arms crossed. At the end I smile slightly and clap along with the others. I stand up and slap him lightly on the shoulder. I whisper:* Good job. *in his ear as I pass him. I get up front.* Excellent. I look forward to our future. I believe we shall be quite successful. Now, it is 4:30. I know you all have your own lives to live so our meeting is adjourned. I shall email you all with instructions on our latest mission on the recovery of FAct Nes anchor and the hunt of said killjoy location. Have A Better Day.

*I smile and move to the back as the group files out. They may be all going home, but Jon and I have alot of work ahead of us. As soon as the room is empty I abonden all pretense. Jon can easily see past any, well most of my acts*

*When they are gone I sit down on the conference table. A plate of jammie dodgers has been set out and I curiously take one.* So Mr. Wilson. Your plan?

*I pick up the remote*
"In our kidnap victim's head is a locator chip. It's impossible to remove without killing him. We've installed these devices on all likely kidnap victims. I'll send you the schematics. As for the plan itself, I was thinking we'd send only a small team in. No doubt the killjoys are looking for a ransom if they havn't already killed him and we can't have them catch on too quickly and rist the victim's life. I was not kidding about your brilliant tactics. I'm more of an interrogation man, myself. The actual aquisition of the victim is up to you. What I'm really interested in is capturing the killjoys alive. They've been identified from camera footage and all have past history with BLI".

*I leave the meeting with everyone else, but then lean against the door, not really listening to anyone's words. At a lull in the conversation, I knock lightly on the door.* Um, excuse, me, Mr. Orwell? Am I disturbing you?

*I listen to Riley with a crooked smile. I like what I hear. I am about to respoond to him when there is a knock on the door. I turn and see one of the young women that was one the roof. I frown, a bit irritated at the interupution but I have to have patience with my team.* No, we were just wrapping up. is there anything I can help you with Miss....?

No, sir. I was just here to inform you that I think I'll be applying for a desk job...I understand that my performance was lacking today, and I'm sorry that I caused you trouble. *I dip my head courteously toward both of them and back away before anyone can say anything.*

*I look to Jonathon and consider if he should say it or if I should. Of course she won't be transferred out of the drac unit, we're already two people down and logistically we need all we can get. With Jonathon's tactics and my genius, talent won't matter*

*I scowl at her.* I am sorry if you felt that the whole point of my speech was to discourage you from being a draculoid. I understand you are fairly new. With a bit of training and the help of the team you will get better. I am sorry to deny your request but only realize it is because I see potential in you.

*I blink. Potential? Me?* I'm sorry to be so impertinent, sir, but are you sure? During the attack, all I did was mess up and hinder everyone's progress...

*I check my emotions and try my best not yell at her.* Please Miss. It is my first day as well and we all made mistakes. Given time we will all become better. Do not give up. That is not the way of Better Living. I can not afford to lose another employee.
